Acadia Hospital

Doctors are oppressive and belittling of your own self knowledge rather push medication. The nurses are robots to the doctors. The unit staff are the only ones with humanity. I have not been there in over six years but I was institutionalized by them at age 11. Ive gain so much more self knowledge within my awareness of self and my environments. Nothing with a person with a degree could teach.

Was unrightfully bluepapered and then the doctor gave me a shot that made it so I couldn't move and then they butt raped me literally and I couldn't move. These professionals maim patients so they can steal millions of Maine taxpayers' dollars.

I hated being there. I saw a doctor for only two minutes. He wrote an asinine diagnosis for why I was there. His name is Dr. Ohuoha, and he cannot listen and understand in two minutes the reasons I told him I was there. It's the same story, doctors cannot make accurate assessments. I would advise no one visit that place. It made things worse for me, not better at all. It was a complete waste of time, energy, money. They feed you poor quality food and pretty much ignore you. You don't get to meet with a doctor in a real clinical setting. This place is a scam. Avoid it.

I have been coming to Acadia Hospital for 15+ years and they go 100% by the book. Some of them do care, but if it's not in agreement with the FDA meaning (acadia funding) nothing will be done that they don't agree with. A lot of the staff act like they care but when push comes to shove they would throw you too the wolves than do anything out of the ordinary to help a client.

One of the worst hospitals I've ever dealt with. Unfortunately the only place close by that isn't just an in patient center, the staff, nurses and ever doctors are just terrible. They do not care about you, they have incredibly high patient standards but hold none to themselves. Would rather drive to Portland if it means dealing with people with common sense.
