If you are looking for some Japanese snacks, sauces, meat, sushi, food, drinks. You come to the right place. I cam here around end of December, and found so many sauces that i can use to cook some of the Japanese dishes. Price is a bit on the higher end. Noodle, snacks, and sauces are on the decent prices. I would come back to shop if i live nearby : Oh and they have hot corn can soup too! If u want quick grab you can get their sushi plate as well. I know this is not a restaurant, but this place has some serious sushi, and other Japanese food. On the way home from Whistler, we stopped by this newly opened Japanese supermarket, it’s not big, but the cooked food section is just amazing. The sushi are restaurant grade, better than most so called “Sushi” restaurant in the greater Vancouver area even the sushi has been sitting in the fridge for a while. This place is very far from my home, otherwise we will be there at least once a week.
Good quality and yummy foods here. Just a bit on the pricy side but it’s west Vancover. Took the time to drive almost an hour to buy our Father’s Day dinner here as we spend $140 in food but well worth it even tho it too a dent out of our wallet!
My husband and I love to come here and grab some sushi to go before we go on hike. You can also order some fresh one from the kitchen. There are seating area outside the store or nearby.
Like a fancier fujiya. The prices are higher but the aburi is decent. Service is fantastic and you can ask for fresh aburi that isn’t from the fridge so you can enjoy it fresh. A bit lacking on the fish for the aburi though It’s a very thin layer of fish.
Small Japanese grocer focused on some premium Japanese imports. Narrow aisles. Operated by group that also owns Miku Restaurant. Limited outdoor dining space. Free street and underground parking.
A very good selection of Japanese goods with quite regular prices like other Japanese supermarkets. Their selection is good and the service is excellent. The star of the shop is their sushi bar with a vast menu to go. It has a small patio on the side but being so close to Ambleside it is a great grab and go lunch or dinner place. Their sushi is super fresh and they even offer wagyu beef sushi I had that and it was amazing! They also sell wagyu beef for you to take home and yes.. it’s an expensive treat but you only live once : Definitely we will go back. A great addition to the west Vancouver offerings.
Great place to grab sushi. Definitely on pricer side but I think quality matches. Make sure you have the sushi made to order as opposed to out of the fridges. I had the premium nigri combo which was about $39. This definitely mid teir restaurant level.
Everything are super high quality!!! The sashimi and nigiri I had was better than most of the places in Vancouver
Wow, this place is fantastic! Lots of fresh sushi and bento boxes. They sell an assortment of Japanese candies, instant noodles, condiments and so much more. We expected nothing less from the owners of Miku and Minami! We will definitely be back for more.
