Abbotsford Community Services Recycling Program

Was very disappointed to find out they don’t take industrial use items. I drove all the way across town just to be told that they don’t accept anything industrial grade, specifically industrial spray paint cans in my case. They said they get charged for them, and gave me some resources, one of which no longer exists and the other charges like $8 to dispose of a singular small spray paint can very disappointing. The only place that disposes of them properly on a big scale is in the metro Vancouver area.

People are so rude to the attendants here, and it's shocking! This recycling depot provides a valuable service to the community in a simple and accessible way. Every staff member I've ever encountered has been friendly and helpful. It's ridiculous the way some people act when they visit the depot, getting frustrated because they didn't pay attention to recycling regulations. It's certainly not the fault of the attendants!

Excellent Service that everyone should be using most are not aware it even exists

It's so quick and easy. Staff have answers if you have questions... things are labelled and easy to access.nI bring my:n- glassn- soft plasticn- crinkly plastic mostly food wrap and packagingn- cardboardn- batteriesn- battery toysn- small appliancesn- hair appliancesn- metal random pieces, old nails, etc.nnI'm sure you can bring more.

We were in and out real fast. Staff were helpful with sorting that we weren't sure about. It sure does cut down the amount of garbage, which isn't garbage.
