A&W

We were on the island and was looking for some quick meal before heading out for our next adventure. There are limited national chains on the island anyways and I believe the three A&W, Subway (literally next counter) and Tims next door. We have not had the veggie burger ever at A&W and were not even aware if it had eggs or milk ingredients. We even didn't notice that the burger came with cheese already. Ordered two Burgers, one fries, one rings and two fountain drinks. Normally we check the ingredients first. In this case we checked the ingredients after and soon realized our error. The wife had the burger after cleaning the mayo of the bun (it was ranch sauce). The burger did not pass the taste for us. The fries and rings were amazing. She missed the meaty texture as well and I guess put off by the discovery. Also what we were surprised was the price tag $25+ for the meal. Same meal at the other Canadian national chain? About $15. Agreed we were in the island, but Tims next door did not charge a premium pricing. And if this was regular pricing than I believe vegetarians will be put off, specially the price conscious customers like us.
