Pretty good! Ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken, lamb briyani, garlic naans, cauliflower, mango lassi- good not too sweet, sweet lassi, mango ice cream, ras malai! The chili was good and tamarind sauce was pretty good too!
Great service, generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. We tried the Chef’s Recommendations Vegetable Thali and Punjabi Dinner Combo which had a variety of items so we could try a bit of everything. Our favourite was the lamb curry and butter chicken - very tasty and flavourful. Would definitely be coming back to try their other amazing dishes, highly recommended!
I bought soup from them. I am very disappointed with the quantity. I bought tomato and vegetable soup. The feeling of loot Liya mujhe is seeping through. I would have given 1 star for the quantity, especially being charged 4.50 each. It tastes okay, not something over the top. I gave two stars for friendly customer service. I am never buying soup from them for sure, but will I probably buy something else, may be. I am just so disappointed with their quantity. Please improve!
The staff here is very friendly yet professional at all time. I told them that I don’t like too much butter in my food in any form and they said that they will do their best to comply. I know that it may have been tough for them as food may be cooked beforehand. However, when my order arrived I was pleasantly surprised a bit that it had only minimum levels of oil and butter!
I honestly believe a customer wants Just 2 things from a restaurant. One is good food and other is good service. Both of which you cannot find at Taste of Punjab. The staff is arrogant and the food is horrible. Our whole experience from start to finish was waiting for our entire order to arrive on our table one dish at a time with atleast 20 min gap between each dish. If you want such kind of service then please by all means be there customer specially when they forget half of your order because they refuse to write it down.
Major food safety issue!!! One of the pakoda in kadi pakoda had rubber band in it and salad had mold on it. Chaat papdi tasted like papdi in water and 2-3 spoons of spoiled yogurt. Garbaged right away. Mango chicken felt like eating chicken pieces in sugar syrup. Felt nauseated and threw up!! Ordered punjabi kadi pakoda, mango chicken and chat papdi from this place along with some naans through Uber eats. Worst food ever!!!!
Worst samosa ever Looks like the had prepared them long time back and when someone orders they just deep fry again and serve it. You can clearly see the old bad oil and this looks like the oil was not hot at the time of cooking. Also I would request the owner to not reply me back with the same copy past words of " sorry about your bad experience. Please give us one more chance you will not be disappointed"
We used to go to this place at least once a month for the last 3 years and lately our visits have been dwindling down. We won't go back anymore as the service and the food on our last visits especially the very last visit were way way way below their price point. Let's start with the waiters, they were horrible, teenage looking girls who seemed to hate every moment of their time at work. Tea was served in a dirty cup, the waitress set it down looked at it and walked away, we had to actually ask her to replace it when she came back with the rest of the food. The tea ON the cup was dry so I'm pretty sure the waitress didn't just spill it while setting it down. The rice was ice cold. The tandoori paneer had no smokiness to it at all so I doubt it ever went into a tandoor of any sort, it was also served on a soiled almost black wooden tray. The curries were okay but definitely not the same quality they used to be 2 years ago. The food tastes different in general lately, we figured they must have a new chef. Now the worst part is our bill was $52.-- we gave them an $8 dollar tip I don't even know why we tipped them and the waitress gave us a dirty look and a smirk handed over the receipt and that's it! Not a thank you, not a have a nice day...NOTHING BUT A DIRTY LOOK AND A SMIRK.
Went with a friend. Service from one lady was subpar and rude. Had the lamb curry thali which was good. Couldn't finish so asked to pack it up. Opened up, and found my friend's butter chicken instead of my lamb curry. Was disappointed but hey, butter chicken right? Then my friend called, said they had a stomach ache and I thought it was just because it's Indian. But lo and behold when I nuke my leftovers, what do I see? And that's not from the sauce, as it's actually a pinkish red that bleeds into the white meat. Bad service I can accept, because end of the day, it's just words and beliefs. But improperly prepared food? Absolutely not. Unacceptable from a food establishment
Delicious food and friendly service. Great selection of tastey dishes.
