Dear 7-Eleven Canada Team,nI am writing to share a very upsetting experience my family and I have been having at one of your 7-Eleven stores.nOur English is not very good, and the staff and the assistant manager at this location persistently do not understand us. Even when I try to show what I want to say using a translation app, they still don’t understand. When they don’t understand, they sometimes laugh, which makes us feel very embarrassed and disrespected. They do not say anything verbally, but their body language feels rude and angry. Sometimes, they even place or slide the products I buy onto the counter in a rough way, as if they are angry.nWe live very close to this 7-Eleven and we used to love shopping there. But now, because of the behaviour of the staff and the assistant manager, we do not want to shop there anymore. This makes us very sad because we like 7-Eleven and it is very convenient for our family.nI would like to ask if this kind of treatment is acceptable under 7-Eleven’s company policy. We just want to be treated with basic respect like any other customer. I hope you will take this situation seriously and look into what is happening at this store.
I had a very unpleasant experience at this 7-Eleven due to the staff member’s behavior. Name- Pushpinder Instead of focusing on his job and providing basic customer service, he was overly interested in other people’s personal lives, asking unnecessary questions and making inappropriate comments that were absolutely none of his concern. This kind of behavior is intrusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable in a customer-facing role.nnOn top of that, his tone was rude and disrespectful, making the interaction uncomfortable and awkward. Customers come here to make a quick purchase, not to be judged, questioned, or made to feel uncomfortable. A staff member’s role is to be polite, respectful, and professional—nothing more, nothing less. Management needs to take this seriously and address this behavior immediately to ensure customers are treated with basic respect.
Today I was going camping and planned to buy a lighter or matchbox. I originally meant to go to Dollarama for the long camping matches, but stopped at this 7 Eleven thinking it would save time.nnI parked right in front, walked in, and went to grab a lighter. A young Punjabi guy working there asked, “Can I see your ID?” I felt suspicious and asked why. I’m over 30. He said it’s the law. I wasn’t aware of any such new law requiring ID for a lighter or matchbox.nnThen another man who is in the picture got involved and confirmed it’s the law. I asked him to explain, and he pointed to a sticker about ID checks for tobacco and alcohol. I told them that there is only a Canada’s federal Lighters Regulations Act are about product safety, not age restrictions.nnI also told them if there’s no such law, both of them and 7 Eleven may be violating Canadian consumer rights. I checked 7 Eleven Canada’s website after and found no policy mentioning ID for lighter sales.nnFranchise owners should properly train their staff and teach them the limits of their authority. They’re not here to create their own laws or overstep consumer rights.
Almost every time we try to get anything from Skip from here, they call us saying half of what we ordered isn’t available or in stock, and tonight when we went to get snacks, both my Pocky and my husband’s Taffy were disgusting and moldy and expired
Someone that works Night Shift and wants to go to something late at night before going home I walk and they’re literally opened. It says 24 hours and they’re standing there and the doors were locked. I can’t even get in to get a drink at night. It’s ridiculous. This is the fifth time this happens different hours of the night. it’s ridiculous
