Dine in or take out, they introduced a breakfast menu recently, love the congee it's comfort food for me! Lots of items to try from meals or snacks and some desserts - Japanese style beef curry on rice or spaghetti, and Taiwanese style braised pork on rice or rice vermicelli noodles. If u want to try a classic Hong Kong treat, have the red bean with ice cream drink, or the pineapple bun with ice cream. Pineapple bun BTW, for those who don't know, doesn't have pineapple in it, it's named for the crisp topping that "looks" like pineapple They share half the space with Truedan as well if u wanted to get on of their bubble teas.
Nice little place for small bites. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Tried the tokoyaki and the condensed milk donuts. Also the signature drink. We appreciated the fact that we could adjust the sweetness! Everything esp. the brown sugar drink tasted great.
Have gone twice now for the snacks combo. Very crispy and tasty. Takoyaki, shrimp and spring rolls are very tasty. Fries are crispy and you can choose a variety of toppings. Tea at attached TrueDan always flavorful. Great service, very friendly and helpful. Menu is growing which is awesome for 6A and tea menu has seasonal choices too. Plan on take out as seating is limited.
Ordered delivery and was one of the worst experiences ever. I ordered the Taiwanese braised pork rice dish and it came with rice noodles instead, as well the amount of meat and fat/sauce was minimal compared to the amount of rice noodles so it was very dry. Egg was not braised long enough for flavour to soak in, so it was flavorless. Also due to lack of fat/sauce, I actually had to steam the noodles myself to separate them as they were all stuck together and microwaving didn't work. Milk tea was not sealed well and leaked everyone and even into the rice noodle... dish. Sandwich bread was cold and dry. Only good thing was the milk tea is pretty decent. May be better if you eat in store, but I've never experienced other stores messing up this bad even with delivery, and there are plenty of better places in Calgary to try. Would not recommend.
We had 4 bubble teas and lots of food! The food dishes were all $5 each and the portions were quite reasonable. Taste of the food and drinks were also quite good. The panda and lightbulb cups were extra $, but quite cute. Service was good and efficient, loved the space and decor. We will be back again.
Ordered drink with pearls added. Drink was actually good, but no pearls added even though I asked for it and receipt had it. It wasn't even busy, I was the only one there. Wouldn't recommend.Food: 3/5
First time here. Very small but clean snack bar. You order the food first and then order drinks and pay together. Food is prepared instantly. From the price point is a little bit high even is $5 a dish. The beef stew is nice and tasty. Curry fish ball just 5-6 balls... Drinks is just so-so we have the panda milk tea and four season oloong tea, not bad. A good place to go grab some food if you really starving.
Fantastic food, friendly service and we didn't wait that long for any of it either. I had the braised pork with pickled vegetables and it was amazing! Highly recommend! Will definetly be coming here again!
This is a fun little place to try all sorts of Asian favorites. You can order 2 or 3 items person because sizes and prices are small. The bubble teas were great too. Very reasonably priced , and a great way to try a bunch of items all in one sitting. The deserts were good too.
Great place for some Hong Kong style drinks traditional milk teas and some fruit cocktails drinks and simple snacks, don't expecting anything fancy. Fair and reasonably priced desserts such as tofu dessert and mango pudding.
