An interesting and entertaining small museum right next to the docks. We’ve enjoyed our time here. They also have temporary exhibition on a ground level, which we hadn’t have time to see. A small gift shop also available. Admission by donation. Very welcoming staff!
Small and concise museum with only two floors of exhibits. The artifacts are interesting but not that much to see. It gives a good overview of the 1000 Islands geography and history. The best thing is that it is pay what you can.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

What a warm and friendly welcome from the staff! It’s a small area but covers a lot of ground. The museum has no entrance fee but relies on donations from its patrons. There’s a gift shop as well that features a lot of locally-made items. The model ships are extraordinary! A lot of history to take in all at once; it’s nice to feel a part of something “big”.
Very cute museum with a lot to see and very friendly staff!
Cute place to have a short visit. Not a pay to enter but instead a donate to enter with no fixed amount. I had a lot of fun upstairs looking at the taxidermy animals and the display of old medication on first. Make sure not to miss the third floor as I almost did!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Informative place!. A lot of pictures and displays. Clean place and friendly staff!. Good for family and group!
Small but informative museum. Tickets are by donation. Loved the 1st floor exhibits that outline the history of 1000 islands. The gift shop has interesting curios and mementos, at very reasonable prices.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
