Beautiful, scenic NY at it's best! I have been here many times throughout my life. Mostly for fishing. This will probably be the first place I hunt this year, which will be a first for me. I'll update my review depending on how my experience goes. Hopefully there's a picture of a nice 2-3 year old buck that I get to upload!

Love it here. The trails are pretty boring but it's easy to make your way down the side of some of the hills and walk up the river for miles. Everybody has done a good job of abiding to the no trash policy as well, much appreciated.

Really great place with 2,921 acres to explore. Happy to see the Nature Conservancy be patrolled, as many people trespass, often without knowing. (The Conservancy private land can be found if you make a right off of the road 40 parking lot, about 300 yards upstream. So your best bet is to hang left and go downstream from the parking lot). If you see signs on the trees you are on private land; yes that includes the water. ;-) I hope that this land continues to be beautiful and also fun for natural thrills and enjoyment. If you don't know where to go, there is a trail map you can find and print. Many great swimming holes, natural slides, great for tubing, and hiking! Do bring water shoes, and stay away from overhangs as pieces of rock often fall without notice.

This isn't how you get down to the creek see Point Peter Rd or Valentines Flats. Deadly location for too many. Fabulous hiking and exploring however. Not recommended for young kids, 300 foot cliffs right next to the trail. For hiking only! NO CREEK ACCESS

Zoar Valley is a great place for a day trip. Not exactly kid friendly as there are very limited accessible paths to walk. Hiking in waterproof shoes or sandals highly recommended. The waterfalls are very small but the main draw of this location is the water accessibility.
