Beware of doing any business whatsoever with this bank and especially with the lender Jenna Snyder This bank is highly unethical, does not disclose everything's to you. Etc....when buying a home, they wait till last minute, procrastinate, and flat out lie. I assisted my mother in law with buying a home this year....helping her with the paperwork and all the correspondence that happens over email/tech and what not since she's not very tech savvy. I recently bought a home earlier this year so I'm very familiar with what needs to be done what doesnt need to be done...as well s what good service is and what bad service is. After going through this experience with Zions, I highly recommend if you have an account with this bank to close it and move on ...they make constant mistakes they're completely incompetent. it is absolutely outrageous that this bank is still operating and has not been shut down. Our lender Jenna was awful not only did she lack professionalism and competence.. She rudely laughed at my mother in law and my realtor multiple times on phone calls, were they were trying to figure out why she couldn't find the paperwork that she confirmed via email this happened multiple times.... it delayed closing ... The paperwork That was submitted to the title company was rejected because of how many errors and inaccuracies were in the paperwork submitted by this bank and lender. She would call to say that she sent over the paperwork to get it completed when she in fact never did and the following morning would call saying she never got the paperwork even though she would confirm it via email or over the phone with us. This encountless other things happen throughout the entire process with this bank. They offered a certain interest rate buy down but then all of a sudden that price disappeared and the rate was completely changed only until did we let our realtor know that she was wishy-washy with that promised rateto acquire my mother in laws business go back to what was initially agreed on Thank goodness the seller was very flexible and understood that the lender is an idiot and it's not our fault and gave us a few extra days and we were able to get it done other my mother in law woulsnt have been able to close, and lose her earnest money. When putting the offer in she was told by this bank that she was good to go and everything was pre-approvws but this was mor true..only to find out the week of closing all these loose ends that needed to be tied up and handled. There are so many other incidents and things that occurred that I haven't even added to this report because it's so extensive so just be careful we will never do business with this bank or have an account with this bank and we're letting all our friends know of our experience. DO NOT do business with this bank or that woman or you will be in a nightmare with lots of surprises and dollar amounts constantly changing up until the end.
First off the people that work at the bank are nice, nothing against them! Now the reason for a bad review. I closed my account and went to another bank closer to my house after moving, After the account had closed a couple of bill pays I had missed and didn't get switched to new bank during the bank change successfully took money out of my closed Zions account at which point Zions reopened the account without my knowledge and charged me over draft fees which I had to pay before being able to close my account again! I understand the account reopening for out standing checks and even fees for checks I had written but I had none, for bill pay the system should have just denied the payment because the account is closed! Zions will not let you turn off overdraft protection and they will not just leave account closed if any bill pays try to take money from it. I did not know the account reopened in fact I was not even aware I had an account there until sometime later when Zions collections department contacted me asking me to bring my account current, which by that time was over draft by almost $300. A couple small autopays plus over draft fees on my now reopened checking account. First off I think this is theft, I closed the account and no longer want services, Zions should not have the right to reopen an account without my permission and should deny any autopays that try and go through. It Has been very frustrating, a bit expensive, and very annoying trying to get the checking account closed. I will never bank there again and I don't know how long there system will reopen the account and charge over draft fees after it has been closed, I may end up going through this all over again if some random yearly subscription I forgot I had tries to renew! I guess it should be called a semiclosed account since it can reopen and charge overdraft fees at anytime without my knowledge if something tries to come out of the closed account/semiclosed account! I will never use Zions again!
I've been a member of Zions since I was a young college student trying to get on track for retirement. I have always had exceptional customer service with the Thain branch, especially since I have since moved out of state and needed to continue banking virtually.
Frequently depositing money in the wrong account causing huge wastes of my time trying to figure out where it was put and getting it back to the correct account. I've been a customer for 16 years mainly at the Moscow location and had very few issues. Since most of my rentals are in lewiston I've been having renters go in and deposit there. Over the last 12 months money has ended up in the wrong account at least a couple times a month. I give up and will be setting up a deposit account tomorrow with Twin Rivers Bank.
Been with them a long time now. They have always done me right. Can even talk to someone local. If I have a problem they are on it right away to get it fixed.
