We ate here while staying in the area. We loved this place. Mirroring other reviews, it was quite loud inside but eating outside was delightful. My wife had the sausage and rigatoni. I had the pasta bolognese. Both of these were truly excellent. The service was pleasant and food arrived reasonably quickly. If we lived near here, we would definitely come back again.
Delicious food and wonderful service on a busy Friday night! Our waitress Taryn was amazing! So sweet and attentive. Cauliflower dip app was yummy + I love the pistachio apple salad. For entrees- my fiancé got chicken parm and I got the rigatoni + Italian sausage. So delicious! We left stuffed as you can see!
We had wine on the patio! We need to come back and spend more time here! Update, we had more wine and an appetizer. We enjoyed the service and the food. Update 2, we had dinner and it was a pleasant experience. I will say that the lack of a bread appetizer is a little strange for an Italian restaurant at this price point. The tuna appetizer tasted pretty good, but the texture was gummy. The pasta entrees were very good.
First time last evening for my spouse and I and we were very pleased. Great ambiance - definitely not a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club! Lisa was excellent - pleasant and responsive. The food was outstanding and at reasonable prices. An all around great experience and we will be returning.
Went out to eat to celebrate a promotion with close friends, our server was THE BEST! So kind, aware, and courteous, and just delightful! The food exceeded the cost, we ended up sharing dishes with one another as we all wanted each other to enjoy it as much as we did!Food: 5/5
I attended a bridal shower yesterday at Zin and the room upstairs was absolutely beautiful. Our server, Paul was OUTSTANDING!! He was so attentive, worked so hard to make our time together so enjoyable, and went above and beyond with everything!!! Oh, and the food was absolutely delicious!! I will drive from Madison again and again to return to Zin. I will continue to recommend this restaurant to everyone:
The management prefers to pack in as many sales as possible. When guests are treated like a dollar instead of having their experience being protected it is really a turn off. Despite staffing you have a responsibility to your guests to ensure they have a great experience. I made my reservation late on the day of my dinner, and there was pretty much open availability. They couldn't accommodate the time I booked. No apology for the delay. Fine I can overlook that, but then slow overwhelmed staff didn't come close to the experience I paid for.
The building is lovely. Our waitress was pleasant but overly helpful. She was at our table constantly to ask how we were. Overall, the food was just okay, a step above a chain Italian restaurant. I had crab cakes, and they were really good. Crisp on the outside, creamy inside, aioli was good. My main was the crab ravioli, and it was bland. I asked for salt for my pasta, which broke my heart a bit. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't delicious. My Rum Old Fashioned was excellent, and the wine pour was generous, so- redeemed.
First time there and loved the atmosphere. Had a great waiter named Matt. Party of 5 and all of us enjoyed our meals. The only drawback was that my potatoes were not all the way done. I am not from the area,but would definitely return if out that way.Food: 4/5
Good food, great service, and a very nice atmosphere. Today was cold and snowy, but it looks like there's a great patio for outdoor dining as well. Can't wait to go back to try that out.Food: 5/5
