Raw fish in oil burnt badder and fries that were totally uncooked on the inside. Seriously a health hazard. This place used to be good now I wouldn't feed it to my dog.
Super decent food and probably great for a hangover morning. Offers delivery and quite a varied menu. I had a few items and so far have been excellent. I really like the way they do fries, and their burger was pub quality which at the price point makes Zilman a definitively underrated option in Whitehorse. Their butter chicken was fine but for it being offered alongside the other dishes I cannot really complain. Pretty solid choice if you are missing that type of place you would see downtown open late at night.
Been following zillmans here and there and they improve every order. Had the fish n chips with wings. Fish looked overcooked but it really wasn't. My fork sliced nicely without a mess and tasted great especially with tartar sauce. Don't order extra tartar their cups are bigger than traditional for 2pc. The wings are impressive. Bit crispy and rich and very tender and has that smokey taste behind them teriyaki. Via doordash I requested extra sauce and boom....my wish was a command. Good job guys, thanks for this treat. You'll be making more orders for me in the future. Give them a try!
Shawarma and rice plates are always tasty, and definitely the best donair in town and the hummus is amazing. But really it’s the service that brings me back so often - always polite and efficient. Since they moved locations the service been spot on every time.
Service was horrible, after order was taken you could hear the staff rudely talking in the back, it took them about 45 minutes to make a sandwich and poutine which was nothing but average. My coworkers all had a similar experience. I heard mixed reviews about this place and will definitely not be going back.
The place it’s small right beside domino pizza, but it warm and friendly place, the owner and staff is make sure the order is made as customer needs. The donair, spicy chicken with barbecue sauce is my our favorite menu compliment with fried garlic and they serve with gracious amount so satisfying, it’s halal food with some twist in menu to accommodate local needs overall thumbs up ! Definitely places to go when u visit here and taste Middle East food - just need music for ambiance not the bingo radio lol -
I've only tried their chicken shawarma so I can't speak for the rest of the menu. The chicken was dry and not particularly indicative of freshness around supper time, the overall sandwich is westernized and by no means authentic middle eastern cuisine, but this is a common practice. Overall gets a pass.
Very yummy Falafel with homemade bread and tzatziki sauce!
We got donairs and it was quite literally the worst donair I have ever had. Honestly, it was the worst dinner I’ve ordered in a restaurant in years. I don’t know what sauce they used but it was sweeter than syrup. It kind of tasted like they slathered a sugar glaze all over the donair. The meat tasted fine, but the entire thing was ruined by their terrible sugar glaze sauce.
I WILL NOT SUPPORT A PLACE THAT WILL NOT SUPPORT THEIR STAFF. THIS EMPLOYEE WAS ALL BY THEIR SELF MANAGING KITCHEN AND FRONT. picked up our order. They bypassed tip option. Offered to grab cash and strongly said no. The owner takes all the tips . First of all if you're all by yourself, how would anyone know what you got for tips unless they physically check you? I did my part to try and report this. I hope to see something done with this. Will not eat here again. And I hope the staff get treated well and find something more beneficial. When it comes to tipping in Canada, the business owner and managers cannot legally take or retain tips earned by their employees. ... edit: YOUR STAFF DID NOTHING WRONG BUT DO THEIR BEST UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. . FOR YOU TO APOLAGIZE FOR THEIR BEHAVIOUR WHEN IT'S YOURS THAT'S IN QUESTION OWNER BAFFLING!
