Food is always incredible! I love the deep fried pickles and the steak sandwiches. Oh and don't forget the fries. The only problem, its SOOOOOO much food and your busting at the seems trying to finish it all. The people there are so pleasant and always happy to see you. I love going there. Worth the visit.
After reading a bunch of positive reviews I decided to stop in for a sandwich and fries for dinner. I must have missed something that others seem to have not... I ordered the steak sandwich which the menu board labels as "famous"...and it was far from fantastic. The bun was a good choice, as it was soft but holds up to the moisture from the meat. The steak itself was not great...thin sliced and precooked, it was just warmed on the grill and was very wet...not moist or juicy, wet...like the liquid didn't come from the meat. I believe they put it in a wet bowl to transfer it to the prep area and I know they used wet tongs pulled right out of a small bucket of water a sanitary nightmare. The more disappointing part of the meal were the fries. They appeared to be cooked twice, which if done right gives you a crispy fry and soft inside. These were not cooked at a high enough temperature which left me with very heavy oily partly cooked fries, which were mostly unedible. I am not ususally one to give negative feedback but I was very dissapointed with the meal. I gave 2 stars because the food was for the most part edible and the 2 young girls behind the counter were very nice. Not sure if I would give it another go around.
Smile and Serviced like a Rockstar: awesome food , quiet environment and all 3 of us ate full suppers for under 40 dollars, Rediculously Good Everything.
YUM! Awesome food, great staff and customers service. I love bringing the family and kids for a morning breakfest or lunch. Never disappointed! If you want anything specific or change / add something addition to the dish, they will do their best to make sure you are satisfied.
Definitely not the Zats you knew and loved. Girlfriend and I walked in today, noticed they had become Zats Diner, rather than Zats Sandwich Co., Thought that was interesting. Went in and I ordered a pulled pork poutine with a side of onion rings, gf ordered a roasted chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. After a 25 minute wait we received our food. The pulled pork in the poutine tasted like dark turkey meat. That may just be my palette though. Onion rings were terrible. Over cooked, small and stringy with no seasoning, stuffed into their box. Batter was . Chicken sandwich was topped with everything my gf asked for but they also decided to add tomatoes, which my gf is allergic to. Sweet potato fries were decent. Would prefer a larger cut fry, even if that meant less of them in the box. Pretty disappointing. The 2 stars are for the friendly service and complimentary coffee. Will return in a few months, see if other food gives a different experience or if improvement has been made.
The chicken fingers my son ordered were way over cooked, his fries were Ok, the coffee was watery , the bacon was rock hard, the toast was almost burnt , and they use margarine inst4ad of butter, they should ask what you prefer. We also waited forever for the food. I would Never go back .
Went in for a quick lunch with my dad during our working day - staff were extremely accommodating and such nice people - food was delicious and we WILL be back! It's nice to be treated so well by local businesses who are caring and friendly, best part is that most ingredients are made in house.
Have always been a fan of the steak sandwiches, but recently they have started serving breakfast. We tried it out today and the Eggs Benedict was so yummy . The hollandaise sauce was made to order . Will definitely go back.
I love going there and have recommended it to everyone I know. The food is so go they will be catering my daughter's wedding. Why go anywhere else when you have eaten the Best?
Ordered corn beef sandwich on a Kaiser . Very little meat and it seemed to be made out of lean meat very dry . I had French fries with gravy , Gravy was not home made tasted like it came from I can . French fries were soggy.
