The New City area doesn't have many Thai restaurants. Zabb was one of the few we found. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by my takeout experience. I ordered drunken noodles and red curry near closing time on Friday evening. The drunken noodles were inconsistent texture. Some parts of the noodle tasted like rubber. The beef was dry and flavorless. It didn't have any marinade or flavor. There was a piece of stone or bone in the noodle dish see pic of it with the receipt. If they hadn't closed I would have returned the dish. The red curry was a bit spicy but lacked the tanginess and creaminess we were expecting. The only piece that was good was the bamboo shoots and that it was warm. All this may have been forgivable if the price wasn't ridiculous. Their website charges $17 for a drunken noodle w beef and I was charged $19. They advertised $15 for the red curry and charged $17. Either update your website to reflect your pricing or let your customers know. I'm hoping this was a fluke in their service and would be willing to give this place another shot only because of the other reviews.
solid and authentic thai food… as good as it gets in rockland county. stopped by for dinner and ordered an entree and 2 apps: - yum talay seafood salad: this main entree tasted light and fresh and was generous with the amount of seafood provided. - shrimp summer rolls: i order summer rolls at nearly every vietnamese/thai place i go, and these ones are comparatively solid— good texture rice paper and fresh taste with a bold, creamy, peanut-heavy sauce. - hot wings: pretty good spicy flavor and crispy texture, though unless you really enjoy wings, i wouldn’t necessarily get this again next time. overall, everything was a little overpriced, but i can definitely say that this little place offers probably among the best thai food in rockland county. the service was pretty slow- we were waiting for our food for awhile- but wait staff were kind and attentive throughout. they got my brother’s order wrong not a big deal and gave us free bubble tea drinks as an apology, which was sweet of them! ambience was okay and for such an unassuming exterior essentially looks like a tiny refurbished house, the seating inside is pretty spacious.
This is an amazing find locally and the food is spot on! My chicken pad Thai was great. I mean sweet, spicy and all around cooked perfectly. Big fan!! My pad Thai veggie/tofu was the same. Absolutely spot on! Now let’s talk curry. The curry was a large serving with a side of rice and it was probably the best Thai I’ve had in NY…… EVER!! The eat in side of the restaurant is not large but friendly and quiet. There's an outside patio as well. Parking right in front. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. My food was done right as I walked in.... What more can I ask for? It’s a good thing I live 20 minutes away! It’s worth every second of the drive and if I was any closer I’d be a fixture in this place 2/12/22 Again and again the Zabb crew deliver!! I've been here a dozen times and it's always great!!! Today my extra was the creamy chicken soup. College level hot. The hottest they offer and Carlos asked twice if that's what I wanted. Let me tell you... this H.O.T. But in a flavorful way! I do a lot of hot challenges and some just taste like dirt. This was smokin hot but soooo good and flavorful!! Good stuff! Thanks again to the Zabb crew for getting it spot on all the time!!!
Great staff they were very friendly . The food had amazing flavor you gotta try the salad with peanut sauce and try the home made green tea and coconut ice cream. Don't forget to try the tai ice tea it's very refreshing.
Outstanding Thai, by any standards. This very small restaurant has flavor on par or better than any Thai I've had in the area, in NYC, or in London. The spiciness was spot on - not Americanized, so choose carefully :. But the server was very helpful in all our choices. The restaurant is small, only 6 tables, but worth finding a time to eat there for great Thai flavors!
Best food I've ever had at any restaurant I've been to.
Visited to pick up a green curry with shrimp, which was absolutely delicious. Parking in front is limited but there are additional spots in the rear. Staff were friendly and the place looked clean and well maintained. Menu has many different options for various diets. The green curry was the perfect blend of spicy and flavorful. The salad that came with the lunch special was dressed with a peanut dressing that I didn’t enjoy, but I think it may have just been a bad batch. I would certainly get food from Zabb Thai Kitchen again. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options such as excluding meat or replacing with tofu
Been there a bunch of times never a disappointment. In fact everyone I tell them about this place they say the same. Great family place and family own business. Husband great sense of humor and the wife great cook and personality. Keep up the good work
Ordered thru Uber Eats. The food was delicious. We started with the spring rolls and crab Rangoon. Both were very good but the rolls were my favorite. I ordered green curry w chicken and my daughter got chicken friend rice. Both were so delicious. The vegetables in the curry were fresh and not over cooked! I’ll be ordering again! So so good!!
Yummy food. A bit pricey. Poor hostess was severely understaffed so our meal and many take out orders were seriously delayed. Chef was away but their backup chef was excellent. Several dishes laarb, papaya salad, summer rolls were unavailable. Bad luck for us but server worked hard to do what she could. I'd go back again!Food: 5/5
