I go weekly Saturdays to volunteer and have since July 2009. ONCE in all that time did the store SMELL musty. And I think it is quite a different kind of thrift store and experience. A person going in regulary weekly, etc. will find more items of interest than once only. It is a speaker's corner too, where people talk.
If you are super lucky you might find something interesting in this store otherwise is just a waste of time. This place is small, unorganized and it has that typical bad thrift store smell. To save the day I found two Oasis CDs for $1, not too bad. If you are driving try to park one block before which is 1h free.
I really like this place for the selection and for the kindness of the staff. They have a minimum payment of $10 on credit/debit, and when I haven’t met that and didn’t have cash, they’ve said to just come back with cash next time or add it to my card amount. It feels like a neighborhood place :

An old school thrift spectacular. Give Allen a run for his money, he LIKES it!. Truly for charity. If you have nice things to drop off a MUCH better pick than VV boutique or Sally Anne, so bring in a bag of things that haven’t fit for the last four years. And find something beautiful to take home.
Always a pleasure going there. I always find things I want for a very cheap price. The staff is welcoming and nice.
Totally overcrowded with an insane amount of stuff, but there are some incredible finds hidden in the piles! Friendly staff, really reasonable prices unlike Value Village, which has become a total rip off, and a surprisingly good selection for the size of the store.
Sadly, this particular location has gone downhill. It's become a jumbled, confusing mess. It used to be neat and organized... Very disappointed. The clerk also charged the wrong prices. Will not go back. Btw- Street parking only.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming, it's cheap and you can find some interesting things.
