Yorkshire Arms British Pub

This my first time here. I was hoping to order 'steak and kidney' pie which is my staple for a British pub. They didn't have kidney this night. The place has a really nice atmosphere. Pretty spacious for a pub at the end of a plaza. This Friday night, they had (probably rented out the space) a painting class. That added to the atmosphere. Couple monitors around the walls has the winter Olympics on it which I liked. The staff was very friendly! They misses the gravy which I didn't notice and they gladly offered and volunteered a couple options to make amends. Pleasant experience overall. I just wished they had kidney pie.

Their taps really need to be cleaned, beer tasted off. Whole place (including washrooms) smelled like cigarette smoke. Food was just typical bar food. The decor & architecture was quite nice. Couches for watching games. Waitress was friendly. Seems like it used to be a good bar that is slowly deteriorating.

Have gone several times at different points in the week. Usually go on late nights or weekends for a quick drink. Quite a bit of space, seating at the bar, main area and a mini lounge at the back with a fireplace. There is pay to play billiards and also darts. Unfortunately this place is never busy and I'm noticing a gradual decline over the years. The only time there are alot of people is if a big game is playing or some sort of special event. The servers are friendly but due to lack of business sometimes they go off and do their own thing. However, in the end there are quite nice to the customers and serve in the best way possible. Food is also just average, don't expect anything extravagant. Typical bar food but I would just go for the drinks. Also don't expect the cleaniest of washrooms either.

Excellent service, great watching the soccer in front of the fire place, it was like being at home away from home.

Not somewhere I would usually go on a Saturday night but they had Matt Zaddy playing so I absolutely had to. Karaoke nights are amazing and the bartender rocks.
