Yoon's Chicken

I went to the farmers market on a Saturday. As usual it's crazy busy. However we love this place. We came across Yoons chicken. It's in the food court of the heritage farmer,s market. I ordered the Korean chicken with fries with coke. I think its $15 they give a huge portion of the fries. The Korean fried chicken -spice of it got a kick to it. I chose the Korean spicy one. They got different spicy flavors as I have attached in the pics. They are fast with service. The elder guy who helped us is super friendly. And explained it in great detail. I love Korean food. This is one of good places to eat if you are in the farmers market. They are now open I think from Wednesday to Sunday! Yehey!

Literally the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. My husband and I often debate whether or not it’s ok to have one at 9 in the morning when we get to the market for breakfast. The extra touch for kids meals is also appreciated.

Yoon's Chicken is a Japanese-style fried chicken fast food restaurant located in the Calgary Farmers Market. The menu includes chicken burgers, wings, strips and katsu along with a rotating selection of sides including fresh cut fries. On this visit, I tried the chicken katsu meal. For $13.50 this included a generous sized fried chicken katsu topped with a sweet gravy-type sauce, a butter bun, fresh cut fries, side salad and a beverage. The chicken was well seasoned and was well accompanied by the sweet-ish sauce. I was very happy with the fries, which were clearly hand cut and fresh fried. Overall, the quality was great and I was very happy with the portion provided.

Gigantic Korean corndog and super delicious we got the potatoes and the half moz half hotdog they were huge and super tasty ..would love it try again and big juicy looking fried chicken next time . One of the best pieces of fried chicken and one of the best fries I've had in Canada, and the guy at front will make your day with how happy and smiley he is. Couldn't recommend any higher. If you've had proper fish and chips in England you know how hard they are to find here - these fries are very very similar!

With a plethora of options at the Market it might be easy to overlook this gem. But if you're looking for a homey meal this is a lovely option. The Korean style chicken is great, with big portions, fresh cut fries, and a spicy option that won't be too hot for the uninitiated. I got one of the chicken meals and there was enough for two! Food is made hot and fresh. Staff are friendly. :

I discovered Yoon's Chicken last weekend, and went again this weekend. I've never been a fan of the chicken burger, always just got it when I didn't feel like having a regular hamburger, but the chicken burger at Yoon's Chicken is outstanding. Big portion of chicken, soft bun, delicious sauce, and lots of pickels. Their fries are also excellent, hand-cut and made fresh. I really impressed with their chicken burger.

I have been searching for a great chicken place in Calgary. I find KFC to be mostly salt and grease and chicken on the way to be very bready and extremely salty. At last I have found the spot! Yoon’s! The seasoning is tasty without being overly salty. I also find the coating to be light and very crispy with the meat to be moist and delicious. The fries are also a great compliment to the meal. For those of you who can’t eat gluten they have gluten free options as well! Well worth the trip to the farmers market.

I got the chicken and rice bowl tossed in Korean spicy sauce. It was delicious! The staff were super friendly and nice! It was exactly what I wanted!

Best fried chicken I’ve had in a while. The batter was flavorful and had the perfect crunch. Owners were also very friendly. Will be back next time we’re in Calgary.
