This restaurant specializes in rice noodle rolls and offers all day dim sum. There is limited seating due to the size of the place, however their food is as good delivered or as takeaway. As expected, the rice noodle rolls are very tasty, as are the several other dim sum items we tried. The milk tea is pretty good as well. The service is good and the prices are reasonable. It definitely satisfies my dim sum craving. Recommended!
First visit today. Brisket was tender and savory. The long donut was fresh and the rice noodle rolls were thin and tender. Also, impressively quick service! These 2 dishes were enough to fill me up or I would have definitely tried other things on the menu.
When we could only take out the food, it was good but now that we can sit down and enjoy it fresh, it's even better. Everything is very fresh and very hot as if it just came out of the steamer. We have been there multiple times already and we were never disappointed. Of course, some dishes were tastier than others but that's a personal opinion. Being Chinese myself, it has been a while since I could enjoy such quality in Montreal. I missed it. So, I totally recommend it!
Many franchise from Toronto came to Montreal and fail because they couldn’t keep up the quality, but YinJi has proven why they survived! The menu has great varieties and the quality of the food is well maintained. I love their rice porridge aka congee and breadstick. The drinks are very good too. The pricing is average, not expensive. Service is great, I always enjoy my experience eating there.
The food was delicious. I usually get the red chicken feets, but decided to try the boneless one today and I'm glad I did! I usually don't get custard filled buns either but my friend recommended me to order some, individually, I wouldn't personally order those to eat alone because I'm not into sweets, but the combination of those buns with the other dishes helped cut down the sweetness a bit and made the experience overall a lot more enjoyable. A enjoyable mix of sweet and salty !
This place specialises in Cheungfan from Guangdong and juk congee. The restaurant itself is small and the ambiance is not much, however the food is reasonably priced delicious. Food tastes homemade and is very comforting, and the portions are pretty big. Hong Kong iced tea with milk was delicious and refreshing. I’ve tried the siu mai, roasted duck with chives cheungfan, sliced fish congee, radish and beef soup and everything was delicious. Staff was very friendly, I’ll be coming back for sure.
Be prepared to wait if you go during peak hours on the weekend but it’s well worth it! This place is legit and feels literally right out of Hong Kong…which makes sense since the restaurant comes from Guangzhou. Friendly staff and a great selection of tasty cheung fen, jook, and Chinese style bread/donuts for dipping!
→ One of our favorite Chinese restaurants in MTL → We've been here 4 times. The food was always amazing and flavorful. We've tried Hong Kong style curry fish ball, curry beef tendon ball, shrimp with chives, seafood congee +fried noodles, shrimp congee, Lai Wan style congee, deep fried fish skin, deep fried steam bun, beef brisket stew with rice noodle roll, and steamed creamy custard bun. Our favorites were curry fish ball, deep fried steam bun, and steamed creamy custard bun. So far, the steamed creamy custard bun liu sha bao here is the best in MTL for us. The beef brisket stew with rice noodle roll was also a must-try dish. So for the food, it was 5/5 for us. → The atmosphere was great and the staffs were nice. However, we were confused a little bit of double tipping 15% tip included on the menu and then 15% tip with the payment machine. Except that, everything was wonderful. So for overall experience, it was 4.2/5.
Came to try out this new dim sum place since we love dim sum and China Town is a bit of a haul. But, I have a peanut allergy, and just a heads up, everything in the store is cooked with peanut oil, except the drinks. The service was great and the mango pudding peanut free was awesome! Vegetarian options: Everything is cooked with peanut oil.
This is a classic carb heavy Chinese dim sum place. The restaurant surface is pretty small, therefore be ready to have a little wait if arriving around lunch time. They are well-known for their congee, rice rolls and milk tea - musts! They have a good variety of each that you can choose to suit your taste. Their beef brisket is an excellent choice too although this time the daikon wasn’t cook long enough to absorb all the flavor. Milk tea is very smooth and creamy which i personally prefer when it is hot. For the cold version, they make suee the taste is not diluted by sumberging the whole drink in a bowl of ice.
