We stopped in for a quiet birthday dinner. The restaurant is well decorated and the atmosphere is comfortable for a family or quiet dinner. The staff were kind and helpful with allergy recommendations. We ordered the three dip appetizer with pita. Next we had the shrimp entre and chicken skewer platter. The Greek salad was delicious and the side vinegar and oil had great flavor. The portions were large. We will definitely return.
Lovely authentic greek restaurant with a fun decor and excellent service. The food is delicious and flavorful, but they really need to work on their portion sizes especially considering the price. Bonus: their signature dessert is original and delicious.
We are here because of the company Christmas party. First time here but we had a very good experience. The appetizers are very good, never eaten them before but after I tried them, I m in love with it. And the main course I ordered beef stew. Everything comes together as a perfect match. Also they do have the belly dance, the dancer will go all around the restaurant and she will teach you how to dance too. Amazing experience Highly recommended
Yiannis is practically an institution on Whyte Ave, as it’s been around for decades. Great food, good atmosphere. You’re going to eat well if you come here. My last visit our server was great too; attentive, but not too attentive. Would recommend as a place to eat, especially for the lamb!
The BEST place in YEG for Greek food! First of all the ambience is lovely, very welcoming, warm and authentic! My friend and I ordered the Athena platter! It was a delicious decision to have made. The hummus and greek salad were fresh, the chicken skewers were juicy and tender, the salmon and lamb were cooked to perfection! Will definitely be coming here again soon! Shoutout to Steph, our server, who was kind, warm and genuine!
First of all the waiter gave us an excellent service, he was so friendly and nice. The food was very good, the proportions were just perfect. The place is quite nice and loved the decorations.
Food tasted great and the atmosphere was energetic and fun. However the portions are way too small for the price you pay. I paid around $20 for the shrimp appetizer. Service was okay but it seemed like my server didn't care really.
Went with a family member for a Saturday night meal, we split the Athena Platter and everything was soooo delicious. There was also in-house entertainment in the form of a belly dancer I think and she motivated other patrons to get up and dance also. We did not participate because we were too into the food!Recommended dishesAthena Platter
Simple and delicious food, good service and a fun energy. I would recommend this restaurant be in your Edmonton rotation. Make it on Friday and Saturday to also enjoy a belly dancer performance.
Great food and friendly & attentive service. Make sure to try the flambé cheese. The lemon chicken soup is also a great option. My gluten-free friends also were pleased with the options.Recommended dishesPan Fried Cheese, Chicken Soup, Lamb Souvlaki, Tzatziki Sauce
