This is such a great experience. I've been wanting to come here for the longest time. Their flavors are off the beaten path. They let us try almost all the flavors which is so nice of them. I loved the fig and goat cheese flavor. That's my favorite. You can actually taste the texture of the fig when you dig into your ice cream. I really wish they had a dark chocolate flavor. Maybe they rotate their flavors so that you can keep coming back for more. The waffle cone is very fresh and yummy too. I do want to come back and try the birthday cake sandwich which looked really good. Overall a great experience and now I know why they're so well reviewed.
This place is easy to spot thanks to its happy pink colors. There is a hook outside to place the leash of your four legged friend as well as puppy ice cream. The decor is cute inside. You can order from the counter or pick up ice cream in the freezer too. They also serve coffee. I tried the black sesame Oreo ice cream which is vegan and delicious. I had a good amount of Oreo pieces in it. The most interesting flavor was the fig & lemon goat cheese one. It got my attention right away. Something unique and bold. I was afraid the goat cheese would be too over empowering as I’m not a huge fan but it was not. I was able to sample this flavor before committing to it. All the flavors were beautifully balanced and i ended up really enjoying it ! Please continue to offer unique bold flavors to surprise our taste buds. Kudos for daring to do that ! The staff was really nice too.
I just purchased a pint of the amazing vegan "Corn Cereal Crunch" ice cream. This terrific flavour took me back to my childhood. It was super delicious! I had a chat with the lovely owners - who told me they started their company during the pandemic. Support this small business!
Such a cute little ice cream shop. They carry some very unique flavours that seem to be seasonal and rotate daily. While some flavours are available by the scoop, others were only available in pints to take home, like the smores flavour.
I *heart* ice cream! I was pretty ecstatic to have been invited through YELP Elite to try out Creamery X. What a cute little frozen custard joint so close to work if I was in the office. Located off Jarvis west side just north of Queen Street so very accessible for commuters. As for drivers, also accessible to lots of street parking available. As a biker unfortunately, no bike rack close by but I manage to find a rack on Queen Street. After speaking with the staff I found out they were an online business that started during the pandemic and just recently opened their physical store. So many interesting flavours! Upon entering, unfortunately no dogs allowed however, a cute hook to tie your dog is available--very considerate and lovely to think of that. Upon entering, it is quite a small space, comfortably fitting 2 people to look at the flavours so don't be fooled by the long queue that could accumulate outside. The staff were very excited to introduce the flavours and answer any questions--love their energy. I settled on a a lemon fig and oreo black sesame in a waffle cone deliciousness--so very happy. The lemon fig was delicious, not at all like a gelato limon/lemon flavour, the nice zest of lemon is present and fig jam like texture and sweetness was pleasant. Black sesame oreo was also wonderful, sweet, crunch and yumm--I would have preferred more 'black sesame' flavour but I can't complain, it worked wonderfully and taste great! Upon the back wall there was a large stand up freezer with pints you can take home! Unfortunately I was biking and was not able to do so but all their wonderful flavours available to enjoy at home :D They did not freezer bags for $5 and a very cute snapback I was debating on with a cute embroidered ice cream on it... not sure of cost but very adorable. The also had coffee beans from Firecat Coffee Roastery--cute, if only there was samples :D This reminds me, they were offering affogato as well so this is an option to try their coffee :D Overall, very friend, delicious and simple--no hassles, no judgements just delicious frozen custards. Thank you so much Janice and Yelp for this event!
Ordered roasted pumpkin spice V,GF and twisted Black Forest cake. Flavours were great and creamy without a weird mouthfeel, which a lot of vegan ice cream have. Took off a star due to limited vegan/GF flavours and cone options.
This was part of a yelp event. They are a small little spot but easy to spot, pink and bright. We had plans so rushed in and out, grabbed an affogato with the fig and cream cheese ice cream. We were sceptical, but it was delicious, the coffee and the saltiness of the ice cream went so well. They do have some more flavours and we will be back again, soon. Some points to note, there is no place to sit so prepare to table out, there is no street parking, but there is a green p and Honk right across the street so enough parking too.
Came in with high hopes that were mostly met. Just a small number of flavours for scoops available. I had the lemon treat and the SJ coffee; the former was more treat than ice cream though very pleasant with a punchy lemony flavour, the latter was on point. The bar was a bit of a letdown; the frozen pretzels have no crunch and are instead have a softish texture, reminiscent of when they go stale. It was still tasty, just not great texturally. Very friendly staff. Will be back to try other flavours!
2023 February 4 A small local shop with employees that personally make the ice cream and know what is about. Single scoop $5 Double scoop $8 Waffle come +$1 A good selection of flavors which include at this time: Brown Sugar Vanilla V, GF Brown Butter Coffee GF Strawberry Cherry GF Black Sesame Oreo V Portuguese Custard Tart Strawberry Balsamic Chessecake Chocolate cake Hazelnut chocolate chip cookie dough Hipster Butterscotch GF The Rendezyous GF Strawberies & cream frozen Twisted Black Forest Cake Strawberry shortcake V Maple cardamom V, GF Fig & Lemon Goat cheese GF Tried the Strawberry Cherry & Hazelnut chocolate chip cookie dough. Both were quite good and rich in flavors. The cookie dough had a lot of nuts, more so than the ice cream. Worth a stop if your around. Some flavors are probably better than others. They have take out pints available for $12.
So delicious!!! We got maple stout and the vegan earl grey almond brûlée. The maple stout works astoundingly well and is the perfect Guinness taste while the sweetness combats the bitter. The earl grey almond is light and complex and you can't taste the coconut! Highly highly recommend and can't wait to try more! And just a great local business story.
