I stopped for gas and diesel.  There were helpful staff and it was nice to stop and chat a minute with them.  Their prices were the same as in town.  I really like that is closer to my home then Pictou.Service: 5/5

Fast service and large portions. My combo plate #3 had excellent chicken balls, the fried rice had a tasty smoke flavour but the chicken chow mein was a little plain.

Very disappointed in the quality of food. The egg rolls were overcooked, filling was slimy. The chicken balls were way overdone. The ginger beef one of the most expensive thing on the menuwas inedible. The beef was so tough & vegetables were like rubber. On a positive note, the service was good for takeout.

First visit passing through. Amazing egg rolls! Rice, chicken balls, and ribs were awesome too. Overall, one of the best Chinese I’ve had. Will return for sure.

Pleasantly surprised by this gem in River John. I travelled for work from Halifax and were blown away by the home made egg rolls! Delicious!

Was visiting friends in Caribou River, NS and we felt like having Chinese food for supper.   Heard lots of great things about Yaps Place, in River John, NS.  Unfortunately, it was Father's Day and take out only.  We placed our order and toured the area for an hour, picked up our order and returned to house.   I have not eaten Chinese food for years and was looking forward to it.  We had egg rolls, beef w/ mushrooms, rice and spare ribs.  I did not find any flavour in any of the food except what might have been, too much salt or msg.  The ribs had very little sauce, which would have been nice to flavour the rice. I give them credit for running a Chinese restaurant in a small town and serving so many orders on a special day.  I don't plan on being in that area for a while but will try another establishment in the future.  Maybe the other choices would have let me enjoy my meal.

Simply the best Chinese food around. I’ve never had anything that didn’t taste good. The egg rolls alone are worth the stop and you must try their homemade sauce with the rolls. If you’re not a fan of Chinese food, apparently their American food is good too. I wouldn’t know but my husband says so.

Spent $400 on fireworks and were told we couldn't order food while people were still eating in the restaurant, the sign said open and the door was open.

This restruant has a very good full Chinese and Canadian menu. Ordering for pickup only takes 20 min. The food is made order by order so is always hot off the plate. The atmosphere is not bad at all. Chinese  motifs, quiet, with tables and chairs. The staff is pleasant and friendly. Fast too. Prices are normal. I like it. Fri Sat and Sun very busy. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Mary Leslie
