No trip to Drumheller is complete without stopping by the World’s Largest Dinosaur—and it definitely lives up to its name! My wife and I visited last summer, and even though it’s a bit of a classic tourist attraction, it was honestly a lot of fun.nnStanding at 86 feet tall, this giant T-Rex is impossible to miss and makes for a great photo op. But the real highlight is climbing the stairs inside to reach the viewing platform in its mouth. The view from up there is fantastic—you get a great panoramic look over Drumheller and the surrounding badlands. It’s a fun way to take in the scenery and appreciate the dinosaur theme the town is so proud of.nnIt’s a quick stop, but totally worth it. Fun, quirky, and iconic—definitely one of those “you have to do it at least once” experiences!
Was my first time and my husband's first time going to the RTM and to see Tyra. And for first timers it was such a amazing trip and the scenery was spectacular as well.
Good fun for kids! Lots of space on the stairs, with cool visuals on the way up. There is a bench to sit at about 2/3 up if you need a rest.
We visited on a day when it was unfortunately closed, but it’s absolutely worth the trip! Seeing the dinosaur in real life is an incredible experience—it’s hard to imagine just how massive they are until you’re standing in front of one. The sheer size is awe-inspiring, and it’s something you definitely don’t want to miss. If you get the chance, stop by and try to visit—it’s an experience you won’t forget!
The Worlds Largest Dinosaur, a now iconic stop/attraction in Drumheller, is actually 4 times larger than the real life version ever was but its still a fun place to stop. the entrance to climb up into the mouth and look out was unfortunately closed when we visited.
