The staff was warm, welcoming and treated us with politeness and respect. They are the best feature of this hotel.nnThe room was not really very good with a small tv, stained linen and a sink that ought to have been replaced a long time ago. I cannot recommend it.
Our place of choice when we come up to Fort Nelson! Super friendly staff, comfy beds, great food at the restaurant. Breakfast coupons allow you to order straight from the menu up to $16 per person. Anytime we need something extra in the room or have a request, it is met with a smile and expediency. Generous parking lot, plenty of street parking for longer units, liquor store in the building and everything is super clean! Highly recommend this hotel. No pool required because the Fort Nelson Recreation Complex is top notch and just a few minutes away!
Average hotel. Customer service always goes a long way. Typically, most hotels offer a complimentary bottle of water for their customers when asked. The person at the front desk was going to charge me for it. I was taken back and said, really? He said yes with no common sense or courtesy. I had rented 3 rooms for my crew and a bottle of water was out of the question. This lack of customer service is poor. Besides this fact, it was a clean hotel and walking distance to a few amenities.
So I stayed at this hotel 22 years ago when I was just six years old and it was amazing then the staff were so friendly. 22 years later and I’m doing the Alaska highway again and the experience was wonderful again. The staff are so friendly and the renovations are still happening but what is done is nice. The restaurant has really good food.
The hotel was easy to find and clean. It had a restaurant on site that was decent. Also has a liquor store on site. They also give a 16 CAD voucher for breakfast in the morning. You can spend more than that but you'll have to pay the difference.nnThe room was a little dated but still nice. It was freezing in there and took a bit to warm up. The bathroom was spacious. The hair dryer stopped working two minutes into using it and wouldn't turn back on. The cable didn't work for a few channels or were miscolored.nnThe staff, upon arriving, were so kind! Very sweet lady with great customer service. The lady who checked us out, not so much. We came up to the desk, and she was on the computer typing and ignored us for a good twenty seconds before finally saying good morning without looking up from her task and continued to do that without a word. Looking at someone and saying I'll be right with you goes a long way.nnThe gym was nicely sized with a good selection of equipment. Rower needed batteries, which I alerted the front desk about, but it couldn't be fixed by when I needed it the next day.nnOverall, great stay!
