Closed due to lack of employees. I understand the current issues and that it's out of their hands. However, there's no mention on Google Maps or on their own web site. Heck, they still advertise the restraunt out front and have no "closed" signage anywhere. I didn't know of the closure until I spoke with one of their golf employees.
Would have been nice if owners updated their web site and google that its closed. Went yesterday after googling only to see a closed sign on the door. Other local restaurants are open so I'm not sure what the issue is with this place.
Nice menu and well done. The special olives for my martinis is very impressive Love the people and love the service. Wish they were open all year but understand the issues
Historically, new owners had a great chef from Texas to that first chef sadly, he is gone. Food went downhill and prices are too high for the area. Golfing is expensive compared to other clubs in Upper Michigan areas.
The waiter / bartender was very nice. We were a party of 3 we all had the Rib - eye steak with shrimp and that was in the top 10 plates I've had in a long time!
The salad bar was pretty good with a wide selection. The fried fish batter was a little soggy in places, perhaps needed another moment in the fryer...but the fries were delicious.
Ordered the Rib Eye Steak and baked potatoe.. Came out just like I asked and the waiter was terrific. Great work to the staff in Newberry James the cook and Gabriel
