We've been wanting to try this place since moving to Kelowna a few months back but with our work schedules and being closed on our days off made it impossible to give this spot the greenlight. Finally yesterday was the perfect opportunity for us to try it. The Wife had the Ham & cheese quiche w/ their cream of chicken soup and I got the smoked meat on Kaiser and they were both very good. The portions are pretty generous especially for the price. We'll definitely go back here again and try the rest of the menu.
Oh my! That was one of the best sandwiches and soup I’ve ever eaten! I had the smoked beef w chicken soup and both were absolutely amazing! About 80% of people seem to be ordering the cordon Bleu, so very interested to try that next time! Atmosphere and service were awesome!! Highly recommend!!
This place is a good heaven! A must try place!! Seriously rustic home made style like grandma cooks… The ham hawk it so soft and tender sided with a mountain of sourkrout paired with their beef vegetable soups… If you looking for the wholesome food eatery then this is the place.. Lunch is slamming busy but if you come after 2 it’s super chill.
One of our go-to places whenever I’m in town, Woodfire Bakery’s Chicken on a Kaiser never fails to satisfy my cravings. Generous portions and ever so tasty, after 20+ yrs, it remains one of Kelowna’s little gems.
Our absolute favourite lunch restaurant in Kelowna I'd Woodfire Bakery! The Chicken Cordon Blue sandwich is the bomb! We also love Chicken Veloute on a Kaiser and the side Caesar Salad. It's all delicious!
Been good for 15 plus years. Still the same warm, cozy comfort food. Staff work really hard to keep the tables clean, even though it is not table side service. Had the Gumbo, Caesar salad, and shared the cordon blue sub. Amazing. Would have taken a photo but devoured everything ASAP!!!
Oh my God! I cannot recommend this place anymore than I already do! Their sandwiches are out of this world delicious! Service was great and quick. You can do take out, eat in. And they have been loaded the number one for food in Kelowna since 2009. The only con that I might mention is that it's so busy me being in line for 5 minutes. Before you can get your order taken. I recommend that you go later in the afternoon between 2:00 and 3:00.
I actually don't know what dish I like the best. The family all ordered something different and we all just shared. It was the perfect way to experience the most items off the menu in one visit and it was all impressive! Visiting from AB or we would def be here more often.
This establishment has been a fixture on Harvey Avenue for more than 25 years, so, in that time there have been a lot of changes. Perhaps too many. It's no longer wood fired, it's not even a bakery; it now just a soup and sandwich shop with a very limited menu. We tried two of the subs. They were tasty, but they were mostly bun. Ham, cheese and tomato were sliced almost disappearingly thin. Not much of a deal at 15 bucks a pop. The floor layout is cafeteria chaotic, leading to a lot of unwanted close interactions. The regulars and there were enough of them seem to navigate this with ease, but anyone with mobility issues might find this challenging. The decor on the walls is still Old World Chic, but everything else has changed. One and done.
The food here is amazing and the portions are quite large. I split one meal into 2 otherwise it's just too much. Really good value for the cost!
