People have to realize this is a very straightforward business. They get up very early make bagels, and when they sell them, they go home. cash only high-quality. The closing time varies with market conditions but if you wanna be sure to have bagels, you need to come early.
This is how bagels should be. If you seek a fluffy bagel-shaped bun, maybe look elsewhere because these are proper Montreal style bagels. I only know one other place around here with bagels this good, but it's more expensive. They are fresh so the shelf life is only a few days, so slice them in half and freeze them, to toast later! The store might be unattractive, but this place is certainly as clean or cleaner than your average bakery. You're not eating off the floor, people! Bare bones business that does one thing, and does it right. Also if you read the review from the ignorant man who claims his ignorant wife was "treated badly", know that the baker is foreign and she is not being rude at all. She is actually very nice.
Best bagels in Waterloo Region. They only sell plain, sesame seed and poppy seed bagels - no cheese, no sandwiches. They usually run out by about noon. Closed Sundays. Cash only. One of KW’s culinary gems.
We just moved to Kitchener. My partner went into buy some bagels and they gave us 6 FREE bagels because it was her first time there! We will be back to purchase future bagels. These are the best bagels in the city.
No frills location with fresh bagels, usually offering 3-4 types sesame, poppyseed, plain, raisin until they run out. Cash only. So happy to have finally found this little gem in Kitchener! You should definitely make this your go to place for truly authentic Montréal style bagels! They carry sesame, poppy, raisin and plain. Hopefully they can carry an everything bagel one day in the future
The bagels here are amazing, loved them! I was not aware that it is cash only, and only had $1. However, the owner was very sweet and wouldn’t let me leave without a half dozen bagels and refused to take even the dollar. Thank you, that was so kind and unexpected . Now I will be a regular customer.
Amazing bagels at an affordable price. The woman working was friendly as she greeted me. For quality of food they get 5/5. However, I docked a star because the store itself was dirty, looked like it was in need of a deep clean. For an establishment that sells food, I would expect greater cleanliness.
