The food is so delicious, and the price is very reasonable. The clean and friendly atmosphere was so good.
I can't believe that some other reviewers had good things to say about this restaurant. Like most places in the town Harrison Hot Springs, WonsHouse is overpriced and sub-par. Every part of the visit to WonsHouse just kept getting worse the longer we stayed. Dumpy restaurant, very poor service, sub-par food. We ordered green tea - they brought a cup of hot water with a Lipton bran tea bag draped over the edge of the cup. How do they not have a pot of green tea steeping?! The dish for our soya sauce wasn't a dish, it was a plastic take out cup. No high-chairs or booster seats for kids. We waited a while then finally got up to get our own menus. Just awful and expensive.
Worst restuarant I've ever been to. Server refused to take back roll even though I asked several times while ordering if it was smoked salmon, she said yes, HOWEVER it was raw! Then she denied saying that it was smoked. So my daughter had to poke all the salmon out. My sons ebi sunomono was gross, with one shrimp and a rotten strawberry. My friends avocado roll was brown. Very expensive too! Please dont eat here.
I was very excited to have found this restaurant. For lunch I had the chicken yakisoba and for dinner I had the bibimbab. Both dishes were delicious. Flavors were dancing in my mouth. I came up to Harrison Spa Hotel for my birthday and met the nicest people including the owner of this restaurant, Tom. This was my first time in Canada and at a hot springs and I had a wonderful time.
If I could leave zero stars I would. We saw pics of their food they serve around town so wanted to give them a try. This place was awful. Ordered tea which came with a Lipton tea bag in it, heard continuous beeps coming from a microwave which was cooking our dumplings. The Sunomono noodles were so rubbery they wouldn't break down to chew. My California roll was mashed crab with filler in it with brown avacado. My Chicken Yakisoba was out of a bag from Walmart. Drenched in sweet sauce with dark gray chicken...3 dime sized pieces I might add. My husband's Ramen was like a pack of Ichiban noodles in some dark red base with few gr. Onions. The meal total was just over $50. This place is insulting to Harrison. To post pics from a magazine is shameful advertising.
Great ramen. I ordered a donburi bowl which was pretty good but picking off the wife's food, the ramen was very flavorful and the broth was delicious. One warning though, if you dislike onions this place might not be for you. They had heaps of it per plate but it was cooked down and quite tasty.
Had the bibimbap and beef udon. Bibimbap was 'unconventional' but edible not Korean with lettuce, heaps of onions and Frank's hot sauce. The udon was completely inedible and disgusting - broth was onion water. Server didn't understand questions asked. Chairs were painfully uncomfortable. Green tea was lipton's tea bag. Do not go.
Ordered a few items. Miso soup came with a dirty spoon. The teriyaki chicken was on the verge of unedible, chicken was old and plate was cold. The tea served was corn tea?? Do not eat here.
Ordered chicken terriyaki coz it's one of my favourite, unfortunately when the food came and started to eat it, I found a strand of hair. Called the attention of the server and yes it was replaced. Not gonna come back here again.
Spicy salmon salad and salmon sashimi were very good. California roll was boring. Just got takeout. Satisfied.
