Amazing food! I was hesitant to order from here because I don't know the dishes at all. But am I ever glad I did try this place out. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. This is a must try!
It's a bit pricey but the food is delicious. The people are friendly. The only thing that I dislike is the hours of operation. It isn't open for lunch for most days, when I would love to come in for a Bento.Food: 5/5

Great restaurant and very reasonably priced! The rolls were spectacular and right next to the hotel. Service was also really good. A+
Delicious sushi, they have fancy style, sashimi are fresh, Creamy wasabi it’s spicy ,but the creamy with sashimi taste very good. You can see they very precise every dish! Friendly for kids ,have big space feel comfortable. Also good for family,or Date!

Very good flavours with fresh fish. Can get busy since they can only use half of their tables during covid.
I'm sad to say this was not a good experience. Perhaps I got unlucky and stopped in on an off day for the chef. The Katsu Don was a bowl of sheer sadness. Filled with an exceptionally soggy pork cutlet, some soaking wet shredded cabbage and egg. To make matters worse the whole thing was drowning in sauce in Titanic like fashion. The tempura was a soft and doughy like consistentency, it seemed to be underdone. We also ordered some salmon avocado rolls which were passable at best, fish didn't seem very fresh. Was really hoping for a decent Japanese meal here in Gibson's, but this one missed the mark by a long ways. I will say the service was friendly no complaints there.
This is a fallback favourite restaurant for me on the Sunshine Coast. A solid sushi and sashimi menu reminds me of my favourite Japanese restaurants in the city, but without menu gimmicks. The chef boat offers a great selection and good value.
If you haven't visited in a while please come back. The sushi is phenomenal. Close attention to quality of ingredients and the presentation has been stepped up with their specialty rolls. Highly recommend while on the Sunshine Coast and you want some sushi Food: 5/5
