Met a friend for a birthday "boot" at Wolff's. Having never visited, we were unprepared for the CASH ONLY bar. This would not have been an issue, except their ATM was out of order. We walked to an ATM nearby. It's 2022, and people rarely carry cash anymore. The atmosphere was nice, decorated European style. The music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. No food except snacks. It was crowded, and people were having a good time, it just wasn't our jam.
Stopped in for a quick half-liter at around 7pm on a Tuesday. The place was practically empty. Big space with lots of barstool and bench-style seating. Very neat and well-kept space with nice biergarten/college decor around. Huge beer selection as expected and prices were fair. I paid $8 for half-liter of Duvel. There were also a few snack options, but not much. Two dart boards toward the back.
You have to go here for the birthday boot. It is a cash only soccer bar. It has a great atomnosphere and good options for beer. It is a popular place at night as well!
It is what it is: a bar. Cash only, drinks and almost no snacks, so come prepared. This is a traditional bar with many beer and cider options, good vibe, decent music, wood picnic tables and dartboards to spend time with friends drinking.
Nice first time experience. Bartender was nice and attentive, glasses were never dry, the music was mixed but decent. The crowd was majority young adults but nice. Thanks for the experience!
Great beer, great space. Needs to update hours on website. Das Boot is offered for the Birthday celebrant. Steel tip dart boards available
A common name but an uncommon place. Tucked away in the heart of downtown Syracuse, this isn't your usual bar. Offering extremely healthy servings and your occasional boot if you came here you better be ready to drink. The bartenders are in oar and the owner is the greatest human you will meet. It's a great atmosphere for sports as well as just getting messed up. I like the food and can't wait till next week when I'll return again to raise hell and have fun.
Great place to come for your birthday and get a free Boot of beer or for a small upcharge you can get cider instead, which is what I do. They don't have much in the way of food hotdogs and pretzels but you can bring in your own food. Strongly recommend Pizza from Nick's Tomato Pie and sweets from Peace, Love, and Cupcakes for Birthday celebrations :
My friends and I love Wolff’s! Amazing place! But the last 3 times we’ve attempted to go, there was a private event every time and we were turned away. I don’t begrudge you for holding private events with tons of people, I’m sure it brings in a lot of money. But my issue is that we have no way of knowing. I looked on your website and Facebook page, and I tried calling and nobody answered. No sign of private event notices. Just find a way to announce which days you’re closed to the public and it’s no problem, I totally get it. My buddy and I both missed out on our birthday boots now because of this. Went out of our way to get there on weeknights only to be turned away. We would be loyal customers but it’s becoming difficult to find a reason to go back at this point! Just announce in Facebook when you’re closed! Not hard to do!
great beer. Also a very good selection of Non-alcoholic beers. My last beer was 0 abv. Run Wild Athletic Brewing outstanding!
