Fantastic Chinese food! Better than the kosher Chinese I’ve had in NY and even Shanghai, China. Portions are generous, prices are more than reasonable, food is consistent and always fresh. Love the “take-out” only option, keeps it simple and wait times are never long. Avigal and Shauna are so friendly and courteous and greet me by name. You’ll truly be hard-pressed to find a better kosher Chinese place anywhere else. Try the lunch special - such a bargain! Thank you Chef Cari for another kosher culinary concept in Detroit.
Hands- down the best Chinese food in Metro Detroit. Fresh, high quality ingredients and delicious! Best to order ahead since it’s only carry out. And at Christmas time, order at least 4-5 days ahead of Christmas because they are so popular and will sell out. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: All food is Kosher
Every time I order from this place I am greeted by angry, disgruntled faces. If I ask a question, I am snapped at. It almost seems as if they don't WANT to be in the restaurant business because the busier they are, the more upset they are counter-intuitive?. When I use the proper channels place online ordering, look up hours on their website, it never works and I am barked at and told I need to be patient I once was scolded because I "should not assume my food would be ready at the time I selected online. That's just an automatic software they have no control over". For a family owned business that strives to build community, I've received nothing but ice cold communication and service. For mediocre, overpriced Chinese food, I'd at least expect the service to be exceptional. I would not recommend this place.
I have searched far and wide for a good Chinese carry out spot and this is it! The wonton soup, veggie egg rolls, sesame chicken and Szechuan chicken were all delicious. Everything tastes fresh and high quality…even the broccoli was superb. Adding this to our regular rotation!
Fast friendly service. Food was good. Not as cheap as regular Chinese but this is a kosher and I'm willing to pay. There is a Chinese cook in the kitchen. Even if you don't keep kosher this is a a good choice. Made fresh and you know exactly what you're getting.
The food was really good. I got the general tso's chicken and steamed vegetables. Compared to other Chinese restaurants the chicken portion was small, but the quality was above average. I'm used to Chinese being cheap, but this place is on the pricier side. Check it out if you don't need large portions and don't mind spending a little more.
My partner and I traveled from upstate today to get some kosher groceries and decided to eat at a kosher restaurant while in the area. We rarely get the chance to eat non-vegetarian Chinese, so we decided on here, and I am SO glad that we did!! I got the sesame chicken and it was delicious. My partner cannot eat gluten, and he was very happy with the gluten-free meal he ordered. We do not get to eat meat very often when going out, so this was great and almost worth the trip alone! :
I understand that costs have gone up, but $14.99 for this doesn't seem reasonable.Food: 3/5
Best sweet and sour chicken. Amazing crab rangoon. Beef fried rice is full of flavor. Great quick Lunch to Cari out.
Excellent almond boneless chicken. Crispy, lean, great sauce, crunchy almonds. Other restaurants screw up this simple dish, this place does not.
