This is by far the best carribean food in Milton. Super friendly staff and their jerk chicken is to die for. I’ve tasted a lot of jerk chicken in the past, but here in Milton, Winnie’s is on the top tier! One love! Ya man!
Love the jerk chicken lunch from Winnie’s. The smell of jerk chicken getting grilled right in front of you on a charcoal BBQ is so good. Owner is very friendly and offered delicious Jamaican patty at no charge while we wait for the food. Must try.
Definitely a must!! this was my first time here and it won’t be my last. Location is good, a lot of spaces for parking and to eat at the tables considering that it’s a food truck. Service is also fast and super friendly. I ordered a large jerk chicken with rice and coleslaw. Good quantity for the price. The rice is amazing and just makes you wanna eat it all up non stop, especially if you add the sauce that they give you. Chicken is juicy and the skin is full of flavour, you won’t be disappointed. The coleslaw is also really good, just a shame that they give you only a little but to be fair it’s all about the rice and chicken over here. This is a must if you’re in milton and I’ll keep trying out things and giving them more reviews. 6/5 stars if possible
Absolutely delicious food, the jerk pork was perfectly coocked and charred, it had a great mix of that charcoal open fire taste and the jerk seasoning! The coleslaw was really fresh and well done, the hot jerk sauce was perfect for the rice and the rice was also perfectly cooked! Staff was friendly and fast! I highly recommended this spot for all you Jerk pork lovers out there!
cutest lil gem in Milton, with all your delicious jerk favs. Had lunch on their uniquely adorable patio set up and left with happy tummies the one less star is for flavor as I think it lacked a bit of a punch but they made up for it with their hot sauce!
Visited this place a few times, owner is super friendly and accommodating. Owner suggested I call 30 minutes before and he would make fresh, makes a huge difference and would strongly suggest. Have had the jerk chicken and pork, and they are well seasoned and very tasty. Coming from the Caribbean, I've had good jerk and this is the best I've had in the GTA and I've tried others in Toronto, Markham, Mississauga. Give them a try, you won't regret it
Went for a drive to order food from this food truck for lunch. The jerk chicken and curry goat were good! They were both tender and flavourful but not the best we’ve had. However, the oxtail could definitely be better... tender but an overall lack of flavour, disappointing. The rice was cooked well, good spicy hot sauce, and fresh coleslaw as sides.
The people here are so nice! 5/5 The food is good I loved the chicken but the mac n cheese wasn't too flavorful or really cheesy! My husbands rice was a little bland but he liked the chicken too. 3.5/5. Should mention we were at the fall fair when we tried the food Definitely coming back to try more menu items though and to say hi to these wonderful kind hearted people!
Updating the update More pics added and have now tried the AMAZING jerk pork. Truly would have a hard time saying which I prefer. the original review. Still loves the charcoal smoke flavour of this chicken. And now that I've had the mac & cheese I can confirm it's good. The m&c was a little on the dry side so 4 star instead of 5. Still highly recommended No pics because it is all consumed. Wife loved the jerk chicken wrap w mac & cheese. Great heat. My jerk chicken was so delicious with wonderful underlying charcoal flavour. Yum!
I kinda wish there were pictures of the food instead of it being a mystery, cause i decided hey lets try some oxtail, would have been nice to know before i spent 22 dollars on a bowl of seasoned bones and rice. Like your face should be ooo i cant wait to dig in, not opeing the lid and going are you kidding me? There like 4$ of meat in here at best and the rest is greasy rice. Idk what all these good reviews are raving about, maybe they actually got their monies worth or something. The first picture is what youre greeted with upon opening, the lid picture is whats left over once youve cleaned the meat off it, so basically everything. I got probably 2 chicken wings worth of meat off all that. I hate wasting money so needless to say it wont be wasted here ever again. Paying 22$ is consenting highway robbery. The tiny pices of meat i did manage to eat were seasoned well and tasted good so credit there, but when youre spending what you are on food you expect to be full off of the meat, not the rice.
