I can not say how wonderful this little bakery is! Love popping in for a treat with the kids or picking up bread, buns, cookies, pies or even pizza shells. Love their fruit bread it is a nice treat toasted with a little butter spread on it. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Closed Saturday so if you pop in close to closing on Friday selection might be low as they clear out the days baking but the deals are amazing! I spent $11.00 on Friday and it was 2 arm loads. All sold out of eclairs for the kids so had to stop in this morning to get them a treat.
This is a cute little bakery with lots of variety and products. I have given it a generous four stars because it had cream slices Napoleons which is a tough thing to do and keep BUT I don't think they have the turnover required for all the products they make. The sweets I bought should have been pulled off the shelves or sold as day olds. They weren't as fresh as they should be and they were overly sweet. The ingredients they used were good the real deal, not artificial flavours. If you buy here, ask the question "When was this baked?"
Goodness gracious! Cute lil bakery, they definitely know what they are doing!! I wanted donuts but they had so many tempting choices! We walked out with squares and donuts. The Apple Fritter is INSANE. Perfect amount of cinnamon, well cooked and no greasy aftertaste. Go here!!!
Always enjoy a visit here! It’s THE home style bakery - I don’t know of anything here that isn’t great. Recently bought their ”cinnamon knots” a great little twist on the cinnamon bun idea. Soft, fresh, and full of flavour. Awesome pies, awesome coconut macaroons, Eccles cakes, wonderful selection of pastries, great old school donuts....and the list goes on!
Working in Kelowna and our Flagger told us about this Bakery, I ended up getting 3 lunches worth of sausage rolls and when I say the cream filled long john I had to add that also and not forgetting the doughnuts. Will be heading back to get some more as my stay is now extended. Verry tasty and great prices all the staff where were friendly.
Winfield is a simple, no-frills bakery serving classic baked goods along with a nice selection of traditional German pastries, though without a doubt, the metal racks stock more bread than anything else. Still, between the shelves of doughnuts and apple fritters, poppy seed buns, cakes and squares, it's hard to decide. An Okanagan highlight! -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
My wife Loves this place. She has family in the area and it is a gem of a bakery. The sausage rolls are outstanding! She stops by everytime we are in the neighbourhood! We often pickup extra to take home to freeze for special treats for later. The donuts are so good and way better than any chain stores.
Their baked goods are AMAZING! Best cookies I've ever had and the selection is endless. I wanted to stay all day and try it all. Bread and buns were all fresh and perfect. However we did have one disappointment: My mother and I totally flipped out when we saw Key Lime Pie and Banana Cream Pie for such a great price! Less than $8 each. We found out soon enough why they are so cheap: the filling is all from a can. We actually couldn't eat them, they were so gross. I highly recommend this place for anything but those pies! Great service too.
I love this Bakery, the products are just delightful and yummy ! Since the current owner Tammy has taken over, it has improved on everything they produce. Hands down it's a 10 outta 10!! Thank you sooo much for the wonderful goodies you make every day for us lucky to be here in Lake Country BC.
When we know we are headed to Winfield or a family member is, we put in our request for their sourdough buns or bread. They have a lot of amazing treats here, but for a gluten-sensitive family member who can tolerate sourdough, these are amazing. Very light! Well worth the stop and grabbing a few bags for the freezer.
