Absolutely loved it in my very recent visiting, Best time to visit is between 5 pm to closing. We can enjoy Day view, Sun set & city with millions of lights…! The lake view from here is crazy. As usual parking is difficult & paid parking are available too. There are tons of reasons to say this is one of the best place to visit always.
1st time here! We bought our tickets in advance and recommend anyone to do so. You can buy tickets on a kiosk here. It was easy to find where to go. Definitely tons of souvenirs, food options, and photo ops. There’s a screen by the entrance that says what times they are boarding. It changes 15 minutes before the next time.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$31+
Its was absolutely stunning view of city. Just grab a drink and find a place to sit and you can enjoy your evening perfectly. The place is always crowded so it’s advisable to book it. One of the top most things to do while you are in Chicago.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 min
Nice restaurants and beautiful interior open to the public. Everybody talks about the SkyDeck, which is nice, but the bottom floors open to the public are even nicer. They're really clean and there are multiple lobbies with great seats. There's also a variety of restaurants on the ground floor, so you can take your pick of what you'd like to eat.
Great view from the top of the tower. To get to the top, the walk through is cool, too. Some cool selfie opportunities along the way, as well as some good history to read. The elevator ride up is quick for how high you go as well. Once at the top, again, it's all about the view!!! You can see for miles on a clear day. On your way out, you have to get on the glass walk out over the street and cars below. Wild! Go with your friends for an enjoyable day!
Beautiful views. A little pricey. We did not pay extra for the expedited tickets, the wait wasn’t too bad, but be prepared to stand for awhile waiting in line for elevator. They allow only one Minute in the pop out windows, so know what photos you want to take in advance. Would still recommend checking it out, the views are spectacular.
Very Long waiting Lines, had to wait about 2 hours to finally get up. You get very close to People in the Elevator so you shouldn't have a Fear of that. Prices are expensive but quite normal for Chicago Standards. The View is awesome and you can see all over Chicago. Getting Pictures taken is not worth the Money, just take a few by yourself. Although a Place to visit 1 Time but I don't feel the need to visit it any more than that.
Touristy? Yes. But wow. This is such an important part of skyscraper history. I love that they have a little historical museum before you ride up! Incredible views, but be sure and monitor the weather before you go up. Staff was friendly and helpful too.
Sears Tower to me. I did this with the Chicago Go card. The card really does save you money but seems like it doesn’t offer a lot of times to do it. You have to make a reservation before you go. Meanwhile most people are walking in and going right up. It’s kinda crowded at the top. I went at 9 pm on a Wednesday night. But still a must do in Chicago. The building is an icon. Once the tallest in the world. Skydeck is a lot of fun and the line moves pretty quickly. I think they give you two minutes on it.
I had always wanted to come to this location and it certainly didn't disappoint. There is a parking garage that is conveniently located right across the street from the tower. It is quite expensive but if money is not an issue I recommend using it. An adult ticket cost $37 and there is a nice array of displays that you can look at on your way to the elevator that leads to the top of the tower. When you reach the top there is an amazing view of the city. There is also the Skyview where you are essentially standing right outside of the building in a transparent box. If you are afraid of height you may want to pass this. You have 60 seconds to stand in that box and enjoy the view, the pictures, etc. There is also a gift shop at the top of the tower where you can buys stuff to remember the occasion.
