Inspected a boiler system for a prospective buyer of a house, though it was old, has been properly maintained and serviced. The cost to replace it, along with the limited longevity of the new system, does not justify as long as the system is in good working order. He suggested a full replacement of the system, stating it was inoperative, as well as a quote of what the new system would cost. Even stated a pump, that was replaced 7 months priory was old and not working. Other boiler experts have since inspected the boiler system. They have made some suggestions that could bring it fully to code, at minimal cost, though stated the system is fine, and if maintained could last another 50-60 years. The inspection report lost us an 85k sale of a house as the buyers refused to look at the new report from an inspector with more knowledge on older systems.
