The course is a beautiful track, houses around the course are not in play. The starter Al got our round started with some good details, including the woman in the house at hole #4. Was a little surprised that a course that has been there so long, still doesn’t have a paved car park or a real clubhouse. But I’ll be back regardless.
BEST COURSE IN KIM/CRAN From a pure golf perspective, this is the best course in Kimberley/Cranbrook based on a fun & engaging layout, superb conditioning, not to mention great value. Upon moving to the area, I made sure to explore the different golf courses before becoming a member anywhere. I chose Wildstone because it has a very fun layout 5 par fives, 5 par threes where no two holes are alike. In addition to the layout, the conditioning of the course is amazing. The greens are always awesome, rolling relatively quick and true. The course provides a challenge to good players with multi-tiered greens and a lot of tricky green complexes. That said, the fairways are wide and nearly all greens provide novice golfers with the option to role the ball to the surface, making it playable. As the photos show, there are plenty of great views of the nearby Rocky Mountains. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating, adding to the experience whether you are at the course for a day or a full season. Yes, the clubhouse is a trailer but, as far as I know, they still serve cold domestics baby so don't sweat it. Ultimately, I was a member here for 3 years and can't say enough good things about the place. This course is legit and an absolute must play. -LM
This is a really nice course. Excellent conditioning. Staff is friendly and that driving range!!! I will have dreams about THAT My only comment would be that some of the par fours are exceptionally long. I am a 3.4 index and don’t hit it short ….I couldn’t even sniff getting on some of them in two. This is definitely a players course. Great value for the money here.
Gary player's tip is alright but the course is excellent. Once they get a legit clubhouse then it will be perfect. Course is in immaculate condition. Greens are oversized but tricky. Fairways and teeboxes were in great shape
Greens were fast and very difficult to read, come here if you want a challenge, on a well maintained course in a beautiful location. Only draw back would be clubhouse, they could use a new one.
This course was pristine. Special thanks to the staff to hook us up with rentals. Driving range is amazing.
Enjoyed my round of golf on this great course. The Good: - course is in great shape. Special mention about the fantastic bunkers, beautiful sand - staff are friendly - practice facility was first rate Suggestions: - the course is not walkable for the vast majority, so the price of carts should be included in the green fees. I didn't see a single person walking the course. - It would be nice if the carts had GPS as there are a great variety of holes and elevation changes. - add $1-2 to the green fee and give a complimentary ball mark repair tool to all golfers and remind them to fix their ball marks on greens. I know they are available for $2, but too many people skip on paying extra for whatever reason. As the course is new, the road to the clubhouse is not paved and it has a temporary club house, which is understandable. This has no affect on the golf course itself. This course will only improve with time.
Great golf course in very good condition. Visiting family from England . Fantastic staff. Would love to play again if we had the time!
Fantastic course. It was in early season conditions but in great shape for opening week. It will be a solid 5 stars in a couple of weeks. Probably the nicest driving range I have ever been on.
Beautiful course with huge very difficult greens. Sharpen your putter before you head out.
