I have been visiting wild wings every week for a year when I come into Guelph. I usually have a salad and it has always been fresh with a generous amount of chicken. The service is pleasant and the owners if you do get a chance to see them always speak. You need to go, now that things are opening up, support local.
8 people arrive, 8 people order. 45 minutes later 4 people get their wings. The other 4 people got nothing. No offer for drinks No napkins , never came to the table again. Finally after another 45 minutes of being ignored the wings arrive under the lights and sit there for 20 minutes, after asking for them to be brought to us , they were moonrocks. Sad really , not even busy. Totally disorganized Disgusting tap beer. Smelt like dirty mop bucket. Restaurant is dirty and smells, tables are sticky, the tap Beer stink so bad. Honestly the most disgusting place ive ever been in. Im shocked we weren't all sick from this place. You’d be better off throwing your $ down the drain. Complete waste of time and money. Never will return. 8 people will tell 100 people never to recommend. The owners of this business should have their franchise taken away, or at the minimum be completely re trained and regularly checked on, but this location is too far gone.
Disappointed with fraudulent advertised special. Ordered half price wings on Tuesday as advertised. Specified I wanted the half price wings when I ordered. Was NOT informed that they require the purchase of a beer until we paid the bill. The Advertisement also does NOT state purchase of beer is required. Asked to speak to the Manager, there was no one on site with the authority to deal with this. Was charged full price and the poor servers they were understaffed during the busy dinner hours claimed they couldn't do anything. GO TO THE OTHER Wild wings in town. They did NOT do this, and had no issues. Will be going there instead in the future.
If you've read any of the other reviews, this will sound familiar. My husband and I arrived with our baby around 6pm and were told to take a seat anywhere. Our table was sticky, but we figured we wouldn't be there long so we didn't bother moving. We ordered drinks, which arrived quickly, then ordered a hot dog and a single order of wings. Then the waiting started. 40 minutes later, our drinks are empty, the baby is crying, and there's no food at our table. A server hasn't been to check on us since we placed our meal order. I decide to leave with the baby so we're not disturbing the three other tables, and my husband stays to see if it's worth waiting to take our food home or better to cancel. We waited another ten minutes after I left, but had to flag down a server to ask how long our food would be. Lo and behold, "the system messed up and cancelled your order." How they had that response prepared is a mystery, wouldn't they have to go check? Regardless, my husband opted to just pay for the drinks. The worst part of all of this was that no one came to check on us at all after taking our order. Had they even come within six feet of our table, it would have been sorted. We were conspicuous crying baby, a stroller, a walker, bright clothing, so I'm not sure how this happened. It's unfortunate because we live across the street and intended to make a weekly habit out of going there, but it seems pointless based on the trends in the reviews. For anyone else in this situation, just go to Zehr's; we got subs, chips, and a great assortment of alcohol for a fraction of what our meals would have cost!
Let me start by saying if I could give it no stars, I would. We got there around 5:15pm for an early bite and there was only one other table occupied. The server told us to seat ourselves and took our order quickly. She seemed rushed; we could barely finish ordering before she was trying to walk away. We got a pitcher of Heineken which tasted flat. We ordered three pounds of wings and fries. It took 45 minutes for our wings to come out and one pound of wings weren't even tossed in the sauce we requested, just salted. We tried to ask our server about the mix up but she just dropped the food and sped off. She never did a table check and it felt like she was dodging us the entire time because we couldn't even flag her down. The fries came out about 30 minutes after the wings and they tasted like they pulled them out of the dumpster and reheated them. Again, the server raced away immediately after dropping them off. When we finally got to talk to her, she tried telling us our medium/bbq wings were meant to be dry...is she okay? Did she just try to gaslight me over chicken wings? Anyways we asked for the bill which probably took another 15 minutes...understandable since she was now up to three tables...things were CLEARLY getting wild. When she brought the bill, she never did apologize, but she randomly said, "gotta love it when the one guy in the kitchen messes up your entire night". First of all, one cook should be able to handle two tables - especially since the other table already had their food when we walked in. Second of all, even if he did mess up, the server should have caught it before bringing the food out or, at the very least, did a table check to remedy the situation. Instead, she just threw the cook under the bus and took zero accountability. $90 for horrendous service and subpar food. Couldn't pay me to go back.
Used to be my fav place but now every time I order, I get wings with no sauce, a pound of wings here is now 5 pieces, weighing in at .6lbs with sauce. I paid +2$ up charge for .5oz of gravy. I have a feeling this owner is being super cheap. We will see what head office has to say, because I doubt this would be the brand standard. Last 4 orders have been really disappointing. I only eat here because of the sauces…now that I barely get any of that… it’s time to try wings up. Save your money.
In response to the owner - Yes, this was the Paisley location. We arrived at 3:30pm, in between lunch and dinner. There was a sign at the entrance saying please wait to be seated. We stood there for a bit then were told to take a seat wherever. The tables were sticky so we changed where we sat. We were informed of the many menu items they didnt have, and after making sure they had our selections we ordered drinks and a Triple order plus battered mushrooms. We asked they come all together so we could eat with our child. The mushrooms came out very quickly, and they were still frozen in the middle. We let them sit there for awhile before anyone came to ask how they were - when they brought out the rest of the food, we let them know and they re-fried them. My daughters hot dog was close to black in colour and we did not feel well after chasing the flies away from our table so ultimately asked for the cheque and left. Its a shame, a business like this is almost fool proof and I felt bad for the waitress that worked there as she even seemed embarrassed about it.
We went there for a bite and I have never seen this before. The waitress cashing people out while we waited to be seated. Gave people their beer while we waited, served others....wouldn't even look at us as she walked by....20 minutes and gave a dirty look over her shoulder......such racism felt all the way to the bones. I will never support this. So sad.
Only giving 1 star because 0 isn't an option. We went to the one in Guelph on Paisley today for lunch. French fries were frozen, quesadilla was missing 3/5 ingredients and was 80% onions. Change table for baby is in the hallway not the bathroom. Had to ask for silverware and they were more than visibly dirty, they were covered in food. Server did her best being the only server working the whole restaurant but shocking how this place has any business at all. Ruined all wild wings for us going forward.
My server was Robin, she was very focused, and pleasant. Clean establishment, i had the boneless wings lemon pepper, potato skins, which was properly preparedFood: 5/5
