Wild Poppy seed bakery for a gluten free delicious win! Everything is fresh and yummy. There are vegan options as well. There's not much for sugar free items but there are alot of natural options like honey and maple syrup. Staff is helpful and friendly and the seating area is really cozy.
The place is clean and they have AC so its amazing on this time of the year!, they have retail products but also home made dishes like lasagna, salads, pasta, mac’n cheese, sandwiches, baked goods and more!, you can seat on the other side where there is a ice cream shop.
10/10 had my partner pick up dinner rolls and stuffing for Christmas dinner. It is my first Christmas diagnosed celiac and those were two things I didn’t feel confident making and didn’t want to miss out on, I was so surprised at how good they both were. Went again the other day and tried the turkey Brie sandwich and the cinnamon bun and loved them!! Picked up some frozen goodies too for when a craving hits. Wish we had something like this in the comox valley
Stopped in for a quick snack while walking Ladysmith. We intended on just getting a snack but ended up buying a full meal because everything looked so good. We shared a veggie sandwich and it was excellent. The date square was amazing. There was a s’mores bar that was so interesting and yummy. Such a cool and comfortable place. It will be our must stop when going to Ladysmith or even passing through.
I buy lunch here almost every workday due to the fresh tasty food and great prices. I eat gluten-free and this is the best place in town for selection. Their cupcakes are really, really amazing. My coworkers got to try some for my birthday and they couldn't tell they were gluten-free I recommend the beef lasagna, sandwiches and the lunch bowls. There's something for everyone.
