Story

Wigwam Resort is a full service, year-round fishing resort that specializes in walleyes and saugers. Wigwam Resort has (4) 6-person charter launches for your summertime enjoyment and (5) bombardiers that transport you to one of our 30+ ice fishing houses in the winter.

Wigwam Resort offers (12) private cabins throughout the property and (14) hotel rooms within the main lodge. We also have a newly renovated campground that includes (7) RV sites and (7) camping sites, complete with full hook-ups, fire rings, picnic tables, and shower house access. We offer a full restaurant and bar with live entertainment every weekend, making Wigwam Resort the place to be! Let's get Jiggy at the Wiggy!

Wigwam Resort is located on Lake of the Woods near Baudette, Minnesota. 65,000 miles of shoreline and 14,000 islands scattered over one million acres of pristine water. All this surrounded by thousands of acres of unspoiled wilderness forest, topped off with the best walleye fishing around - making it the "Walleye Capital of the World!"

We offer special trips for huge lake sturgeon and Rainy River walleye during the pre-spawn in April, as well as guided hunting for black bear and Canada geese in September. There are great numbers of whitetailed deer, ruffed grouse, timberwolves, and other wildlife that provide some great nature viewing and hunting. If you know where to look, you can find blueberries, chokecherries, pincherries, wild plums, and wild horseradish that make for great treats.

Wigwam Resort has many events thoughout the year, such as our annual Beach Bash and Blizzard Bash, and Superbowl, New Year's Eve, and St. Patrick's Day parties. We also host the North Star Walleye Classic Tournaments - spring, summer, and fall. Wigwam Resort will host your events such as corporate getaways, weddings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays, and dinner parties.

We stayed in the lodge. Comfortable beds. Good food. Affordable prices. No bombardier, drive your own vehicle. Guides know when to move you to another shack when necessary. More fun than going to a day job.
Ended up staying at the lodge with guide service for three days of ice fishing. 20miles out. Unfortunately we didn’t catch any fish for three days caught one chum bucket. I would recommend that they move you to other ice houses if fishing is not going well, and that the guide would have the holes drilled by the time you arrived to the location. As for the lodge; good accommodation.
Ice fishing with my own icehouse. the ice roads were very good. We went something like 18+ miles. My dad and I caught over 30+ fish in about 24 hours of fishing. It was a great time for my dad and I.
I have been going to Lake of the Woods for several years. Mostly staying at the Wigwam and have had several great years. Then came this year. Had a wheelhouse and there was only one spot plowed, setup and in a matter of a couple of hours the water was coming up through the holes. Called the resort and told them. Their response was there are several other locations available, which there was not. Called back, they said they would have the plow guy call me. It is now 3 days later and no call. We had to leave and never to return again. Asked for a refund on a lake access pass, they said no. Cemented even more the idea of never going through the Wigwam. They used to be so customer focused and made sure you had a great time. Now, not so much
Pay a little more for a better quality ice roadI know it changes from year to year but they have consistently been one of the best and they have better staff. I have gone through many of the resorts up here, and wigwam has been my go to for the last several years. Also, want to give a shoutout to one of their plow drivers Doug he has always been super helpful and a straight shooter with me.
The food was excellent, cabin was clean and well supplied, the launch was clean, and the guide, whose name was Jason, was courteous, knew what he was doing, and was very helpful. We had some rocky weather but under the circumstances got some nice walleyes. Highly recommended.

My husband and I wanted to make reservations for January 2023, the lady on the phone was not professional or friendly at all. And this resort requires a large NON- refundable deposit. Which maybe I would of considered but because of her rudeness I will never call back there again.Service: 1/5
Our bartender Sheri was absolutely amazing, met the owners and they were super nice and great people! Would most definitely recommend staying here!Rooms: 5/5
We drove out on their ice road. They do an amazing job.... will be back! Had our wheel house!
