I was looking for a personal trainer to help my husband and I with our two border terrier puppies Copper & Topaz and am so happy I reached out to Jason. I would highly recommend calling Jason and will definitely call him back when we need any help in the future. I knew as soon as we brought Copper & Topaz home that we would need some professional personalized help. We had a border terrier previously but having two puppies at the same time was a bit overwhelming to say the least. We first met Jason at our house when Copper & Topaz were just 12 weeks old. In the first session, we primarily dealt with making sure the puppies respected our cat. Shortly after Jason’s arrival the cat was roaming freely which he hadn’t done since the pups arrived 3 weeks before. If the puppies even attempted to chase the cat Jason showed us how to stop it. That was the moment that I knew I made the right choice in not only getting a trainer early on but specifically getting Jason’s help. Our subsequent sessions dealt with issues that we wanted to work on such as leash corrections, meeting other dogs and recall commands. Jason was able to show us an effective method to deals with Copper & Topaz when they would break into a wrestling match mid-walk and helped us with getting them to walk calmly instead of constantly pulling on the leash. We are amazed at how well these two pups are doing with recall when we drop the leash and they come running back. It is still a work in progress and will require work on all of our parts but because of Jason’s help I believe these two are on the right track. I am personally a lot more calm and don’t get stressed over the dogs anymore. I appreciate Jason’s straight to the point approach. If I’m doing something wrong or maybe not as effective he explains why and shows me better or more effective methods. If you are serious about getting the most out of your training sessions then call Jason. Thank-you so much Jason for all your help! Angela & Jason & of course Copper, Topaz & TJ
We reached out to Jason for help with our Great Dane and after our first discussion we knew we found the right person. Jason is not only knowledgeable when it comes to behaviour and reactivity issues but it is very clear he LOVES dogs and only provides humane and positive solutions. Jason was great to work with and was always available for any questions we had and would regularly check in between sessions. We learned a lot about our dog and about ourselves nervous anxious dog mom here and have been given the knowledge to continue to work with our dog. Our only regret is that we didn’t find Jason earlier!! Thank you Jason for all of your help!
Jason was great with our roughly 1 year old cockapoo. Even from the initial assessment I could tell he's spent a lot of time understanding dog's behaviours and the best way to approach training them. Understanding these behaviours really helped remove any frustration and in turn made us better owners and communicators. He didn't solely focus on just the habits of the dog but of us as owners. Helping my partner and I tailor how we interacted with our dog on individual levels but ensuring we were consistent in our approach as a team to avoid confusion. Finally, Jason showing up in person and being along for the journey is definitely a plus in this kind of training especially since we had never owned our own dog before. So seeing someone else's methods first hand was great. Thanks again Jason.
We reached out to Jay to help train our two cockapoo puppies and are so glad we did! He was able to give guidance and advice on all stages of training and really taught us how to train and manage two energetic dogs. We are first time dog owners as well, so we really appreciated how simple he made training and the fact that he was always available for a text or call if we had any questions. We definitely recommend him for anyone in need of training and guidance!
I would wholeheartedly recommend Jason’s training approach! Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and very patient. He will observe you and your dog and will give you the necessary tools to be a confident dog owner. If you do the work you will have a calm loving dog that will trust you completely. Thanks Jason!!
Great experience with Jason. He explains how your dog reacts to you and how you you need to take control. Learned a lot. He has a presence with the dogs and rewards with lots of compliments to dog and owner. Well worth the experience. Thank you Jason.
Jason is a great trainer, who taught us how to train our dog by being more assertive and fixed some behaviour patterns. Highly recommended!
