I came in an hour before closing. I bought 2 bowls of clam chowder to go. 10 min of waiting was told they were sold out, and I asked for a refund. The server said okay and went to the back. I waited 10 min more, and the same lady came out to say they were making a fresh batch. 5 minutes later, she gave me my to go bag. I got back to my hotel, which was next door to find 2 coffee cups, less than 3/4 filled with soup, and no spoons to eat it. The soup was warm. If you try and use the phone number from the whitespot website, it says it is not in service.
A very nice branch, pretty close to the motel 6. The staff were super friendly and did their best to prepare our food based on our preferences. The salad was a bit on a salty side, but still good. The milkshakes were pretty standard.
I was really disappointed with the food. The soup was cold, the salad was saggy and the coconut prawns were over cook. I usually have a good experience here. Very sad. The server was nice.
We ordered the take out Xmas turkey dinner for two. Excellent! We'll be doing this again at Christmastime. It's just so much easier than roasting your own. Large quantities of everything. We only had to add a little more cranberry sauce and gravy. Thanks guys!!
Update: went in recently and they have really cut portion size down while charging more $. I used to enjoy the sweet potato fries. They're the best ones here. However, almost $10.00 for such a small portion, is crazy -- Its gone a bit downhill. Food was overcooked better than under i suppose The fries tasted stale, and the meals were so cripsy, in an unfortunate way. Our waitress was nice, and the hostess was friendly. Dunno if the food is worth going back though.
NOTE to MANAGER: Although we love going for the white spot experience, we can't help but notice the serious lack of cleanliness. The walls, salt and pepper, the windows are all filthy. We do understand the challenges restaurant are facing but cleanliness is first. And your restaurant is really bad... your staff is great and young and unfortunately we understand how hard it must be for them to give great service when there is a shortage of good support. And that goes for the kitchen as well. I realized that when I ordered a side of Hollandaise and I received it in a soup bowl no dishwashers I guess .. I know it's hard given the times we find ourselves in...but clean your restaurant top to bottom, it's really bad..and that's managements responsibility... I can't go back to that restaurant it's that bad...
We tried to walk in for some breakfast on Sunday. There were two ladies in front of us that had been there for 10 minutes and nobody helped them. I could see a staff member peeking around the corner and rolling her eyes at the people waiting. She eventually came and got the first group and by 6 minutes later had not come back to seat or enquire about our group of two. The restaurant was pretty much empty at this time. We turned around and left and went to the RR diner up the road and it was fantastic!
Nothing special for the atmosphere but lovely spot for breakfast. They have a smaller menu then the past but still lots of good options. I just had a traditional breakfast which was delightful and quick.Food: 5/5
Unfortunately our experience was not great. Food was somewhat satisfactory cold and our $3.99 coffee was bland and they did not have cream. We were supplied a small plastic take out container without a lid of milk instead. Too bad because we have supported this local establishment
A blizzard outside and a/c was on. Husband requested fries before meL arrived because he was hungry.. nothing served until meal arrived..everything was cold..no except hostess checked on us to see if we needed anything..hostess was very helpful. Menu has shrunk and not many choices.. prices have gone up up..very disappointing
