Loved the mini museum lots of taxidermy animals & kids can get list of animals to scavenger hunt. My kid loved it & I thought it was awesome how all animals were native to ct and they made displays of animals in habitats. Outside grounds are beautiful and have rescued owl in a large cage. They have 2 cages for rescued large birds but only 1 was occupied when came this time. Price to go in museum was reasonable too. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on leash around grounds. Also often when I go people trailer their horses here to ride thru trails Picnic area: Picnic tables throughout park
Great place for a fall walk. Lots of options so you may want to bring a GPS deviceVisited onWeekendWait time1 hr+
Beautiful trails through a nice variety of landscapes.
They have a lovely piece of land with lots of serene areas to explore in any season, and host awesome events for individuals and families. Also the museum is really cool. I am a proud card-holding member!
4000 acres of natural wonder experience featuring trails, workshops, gift shop and museum. Experience nature at it's best! The boardwalk trail around the pond featuring a bridge, boardwalks and amazing views is my favorite for many years now. Come experience God's glory in creation...Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
White Memorial is one of my all time favorite places in Litchfield County! So many beautiful trails to explore at all experience levels, the museum and activities for children are stellar, we loved hosting our son's birthday party here too. I'm so grateful the White family had the foresight to make this incredible gift for generations to come.
Simply gorgeous place. Perfect place to hike with your friends. Beautiful trees, romantic boardwalk, flowers, plants, ponds, creek and much more. It is a great place to relax and breathe the fresh air.
This was an excellent musuem. Very educational and interactive tactile displays showcasing beautiful taxidermy and scenic wallscapes. Small gift shop had lovely selection of keepsakes. Plenty of parking for this self guided tour.
Great place to go when you want to feel connected to nature. Beautiful fields and trails. I love that park!
If you love the outdoors, this place is for you. I hiked several trails. There was ample parking and a museum. Comfort stations Pit toilets were available for use. Some trails are interpreted with QR codes. The board walk around the pond was fun. I highly recommend this if you need a little outdoor get away.
