My experiences at Whitby Urgent Care have always been excellent. I always know that i will be treated respectfully and my concerns will be addressed in a prompt manner. Many thanks to Maleeha at the front desk for her friendly and pleasant demeanor. She always greets me with a smile and remembers my name. I am very glad to be connected with such a wonderful clinic.
I like coming here because the team is very organized, honest and helpful. I have to say the employees at the front desk & nurse are great. Today's experience was the worst - It was my first time seeing Dr. Christina Christoff and I have to say she is rude, she said that we only have 10 minutes and she can only help with 1 issue per visit, she clearly has no compassion and ability to listen to my concerns.
The front desk experience is always a deal breaker for me and Maleeha at the front desk is just amazing! Always smiling, very helpful and very responsive. I would give her 20 stars if possible. I would come to this clinic only for her positive energy.
I came third time with my baby during 3 weeks one visit per week as he did not get better one week into antibiotic treatment prescribed by a doctor at this very same clinic with no improvement. This time I saw dr Christoff who made me feel like I made a mistake giving him this antibiotic, as if I myself diagnosed and prescribed the treatment a week prior, while it's "obviously" a viral infection and I should have known that?? She also said white dots on his tonsils are "food particles"... Furthermore, she basically said I should not come to the clinic with my baby if I could just give him Tylenol at home instead... And made me articulate specifically why I came and what I expect from this visit! "Is this your first baby" she asked. Not only I have waited for hours for no help but also was shamed for coming to the clinic with my struggling baby, encouraged to self diagnose next time he falls sick and just give him some Advil! Honestly I have no idea how this could have been suggested to a parent and make a parent feel like a burden to them and discouraged to seek medical advice. When she noticed she crossed the line, corrected herself "of course if you are feeling worried you can come". Well thank you Dr, because I apparently came in for pleasure of hours waiting with a baby in a room full of sick people and I have nothing better to do. Left totally discouraged and feeling like a crazy mother clogging the waiting lines.
Horrible experience! First and last time I’ll be coming here! Didn’t even get to see a doctor, but the front staff made me feel terrible! My one year old was sick and they told me to put a mask on her when I asked for one the front staff lady gave me one and in a rude and dismissive manner hid the masks and said she didn’t have any!!! Like seriously! Are you paying for the masks personally lady!!! Get off your high horse, you are there to help people not make a situation worse for patients. I myself am a doctor and I have never treated my patients with such blatant disrespect! Avoid at all costs!!
Would give 0 starts if it was an option. Came in at around 12:30pm and receptionist booked me in for 2:30pm and said she would call if wait times changed. Walked back in at 2:25 and have been sitting here for over 2 hours. New patients keep walking in and getting called up but I’m just sitting here since. Very unprofessional and sad. The walk in clinics in Missisauga will have you in and out in less then an hour. I think this clinic is just trying to make as much money as they can. :
I literally sat in this office and watched them turn people away for hours and hours. At 4 pm the waiting room was completely empty and the patients ahead of us had left by 4:10 and they told my 2 toddlers and a young adult waiting with his Dad that they could not see us even though they had told us we could wait and see if things cleared out in time for us to be seen - the man and his son waited over an hour and a half, I waited with my kids for an hour and a half to but apparently 4:10 pm with a 5 pm closing isn’t time to be seen even though they saw multiple people ahead of us in 10 mins or less. I asked repeatedly for the drs name and the receptionist wouldn’t give it. Do not go to this clinic!! Run. Fast. Poorly managed. Poorly run by receptionist. Heartbreaking to see so many people turned away.
I visited Whitby urgent care and Mahleeha is a very pleasant doctors assistant! she helped me understand how the clinic demographics work and answered my questions. Great experience!
Front desk not professional at all. Malheea the assistant was discourteous and rude deserving 0 Stars.. I had a very bad experience here. Patients in need pls. find better place around. An important part of delivering health care is empathy, they show 0.
Maleeha is very professional, pleasant and seems to get along with everyone. She is polite, empathetic and is a great asset to Whitby Urgent Care. Keep up the good work Maleeha. Claudette Turner.
