my second favorite bar in scranton, but my favorite bartender! i like how accepted pbr is, made me feel loved and respected. i even took a boy here once.
I actually really enjoyed this bar. It's definitely a smaller hole in the wall type establishment and can get very crowded but was a great time for my friends and I. What makes this bar get 5 stars however is the bartender. Even though he was incredibly busy he covered my Soda free of charge when he found out I was the designated driver. While $1 is practically meaningless to me, seeing him observe the position I was in and choosing to cover my drink even when I was happy to pay made this place stand out to me. Most people do not enjoy being the sober driver so the gesture really made an impression on me about what kind of establishment this was.
Great little cash only bar. The prices are great and the is a ATM inside. The bartender was friendly and our time there was fantastic.
This place has a huge selection of beers on tap which is something I admire in a bar. I came in to watch the game and it was somewhat busy, the waitresses are cute and fast. The food is your typical bar food but good and greasy. I was overall really happy with my experience and I'll definitely return... however I do hear this place gets crazy at night, stick to dinner time or evening.
One part sports bar, one part local college watering hole, and one part saloon. Perfect if you are looking for a little spot to have a drink with friends or meet some new ones right downtown! Its around the corner for Levels and a many good restaurants/bars. Cash only they have an ATM. The music is varied between every type out there but its all great. Drink list is great, cheap, and the bartenders are on point.
Trivia night got canceled because not enough people showed up this time, but we still had a good time. Beers were a bit expensive. $3.00 for a 16oz can of Coors Light. But $5.00 for a margarita that damn near knocked me on the ground and was delicious at the same time. Trivia is rescheduled for tomorrow instead. Definitely a good variety of beers and liquors. And a knowledgeable and friendly bartender!
Fun little hole in the wall. Service is quick and friendly. Can get a bit packed on weekends. Cash only!
Please don’t let the awful name dissuade you. Or do, and let me enjoy it with less crowds lol. Fun crowd, excellent value, cool environment. All in easy to get to spot, slightly apart from some of the other, more crowded bars. Mostly a younger crowd. Never had any problems there.
Great bartenders, great selection, great atmosphere, and great prices!
It's a bar pretty much in the simplest terms. A handful of good bears on tap, limited spirits, really no food to speak of and they don't take credit cards or run tabs. Pretty much drink, pay, drink, pay... Friendly, but nothing special here.
