Lovely little spot. The staff were really welcoming and easy to talk to. There was an issue with one of our dishes that was immediately rectified in a satisfactory way, so big thank you to the staff for helping us with that. The dishes were plated gorgeously and tasted great. Thanks for the memorable dinner. Parking: No dedicated parking lot. You will need to park on the street or at a nearby garage. Street parking is free in the City of Kingston after 5:30pm.
Extremely friendly staff with many drink and food options. The venue was very clean and pretty with the pink theme. The staff was all in pink shirts with their own style. The menu had many options with everything being gluten free and many vegan and vegetarian options. We had the vegan poutine and tatter tots and both were great and served promptly! The drinks were good and reasonably priced. Overall a good place to go to catch up with friends Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options and customizable to be vegan Dietary restrictions: All food was gluten free
This restaurant is AMAZING! Everything on the menu is gluten free. It’s a gluten free kitchen, so for a celiac that’s great. The food is so so delicious, you will eat your fingers with it!! And Luke and the other waiters are so friendly, hospitable and helpfull. Absolut 20/10!Food: 5/5
I had heard good things about this place, thought we'd go check it out. First - this is not a cozy date-night restaurant, as another person pointed out. It was shockingly brightly lit, no background music, and it was very close - many tables in a very small spot, all very near each other. It was not what i would call relaxing and comfortable. It felt like someone had set up a restaurant in their spare bedroom. For an appetizer we chose corn, poblano and cheddar hush puppies. The presentation was quite nice, and the cilantro crema was very tasty. However, I couldn't taste anything resembling corn, cheese or peppers - it was bland and bready. Disappointing, as I was expecting flavour overload. My husband agreed - mostly flavourless. My husband chose the tuna tartare and declared it perfectly seared and delicious. Beautiful presentation, with avocado slices rolled like a rose. Tiny cilantro sprouts on top were tasty. It was accompanied by a green sauce that spouse noted had little to no flavour. He wished the meal had been a bit more substantial though. My main was the smoked brisket nachos. My plate was enormous - enough for 3 people. It looked great... but didn't deliver. The meat felt more like jerky, and the chips were all dusted in a kind of unpleasant overpowering sweet chili powder. I ate what I could, but again there wasn't a lot of flavour other than the chili seasoning. There was melted cheese, plus a cheese sauce but strangely you couldn't detect it. This meal, with just one beer, ran us about $85.00. We didn't stay for dessert because I didn't want to add to the bill and be disappointed further. However, it was so busy, it took a good 15 to 20 min for bill to arrive so we could go. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. Summary: cluttered starkly lit atmosphere, lovely food presentation, disappointing lack of flavour.
This cozy restaurant had a few tables. We came really early so there weren't too many people inside. Book in advance if you come after 6pm. There were lots of vegetarian options. The staff was really nice. We ordered the Tuna tataki, truffle tator Tots, smoked turkey gumbo, and the pickerel. I don't recommend the Tuna tataki. It tasted like way too much soy sauce. I literally only ate the 3 pieces of bread. The tator Tots were so crunchy with a soft inside. There was a lot of sauce. The turkey gumbo was on the heavier side with deep flavours. The pickerel was delicious and light. I loved the colour on the plate! We also ordered a coconut chocolate pie. It was good, but we expected the coconut lemon pie. That's all they had. It was hard to find street parking because of the snow banks.
What a wonderful experience at Whiskey and Rosé! Our cheerful and accommodating server Luke provided incredible service for our delicious meal! We ordered the mouth watering tater tot’s, followed by wings, kale salad, nachos, and tacos. The menu has something for everyone and we returned to try their burgers which are phenomenal! For dessert we tried the cookie ice cream sandwich which is gluten free! The decor is inviting and comfortable and the bartender Thomas is super friendly. We highly recommend Whiskey and Rosé!
OUTSTANDING! A DELIGHT FOR THE SENSES! The restaurant has a warm atmosphere and from what I see a personable staff that seamlessly work together, all for the common goal of making your evening a memorable one. I ordered the in-home smoked turkey club with their in-home smoked bacon and the house salad. Oh my, what a delight for the senses. Can't wait to go back and try some of their signature dishes. Wishing Amanda and her staff all the best! KUDOS to everyone at Whiskey and Rose for making my evening a most pleasant one!
Absolutely amazing. The cocktails were awesome and the entire menu gluten free was so great for me. I haven’t had a fried chicken sandwich in probably 18 years wheat allergy and I could have cried it was so delicious. We’ll be back over and over and over again
Very nice pub! Clean, great staff, really enjoyed the atmosphere. Sometimes the lights from the brewery were a bit bright If they could stay at a lower level that would be appreciated! Bright lights like that can cause headaches for some people. However, the majority of the time were turned down low--very much appreciated. This is a great place to go!!
We got tator tots, jackfruit burger and tacos. The jackfruit burger was a little too sweet for me but other than that everything including the drinks were delicious.Food: 4/5
