Whidbey Island Winery

Quaint place. Was excited to try the wine for my first time visiting Whidbey Island, but was not greeted at all. After a couple minutes we left. So this review is not about the wine since I didn't get to try it. .

Wonderful selection of wines, accessories and more. Tasting only cost $6, but when you buy $50 the tasting is free.

Cute winery in a beautiful woodland setting. For $6 you get to taste 6 different wines- some of the grapes are estate grown, but most are from eastern Washington. If you can, try the port- it might be the best I've ever had.

We have been members for many years and enjoy the multiple wines and gracious staff. In fact we have dropped several other wineries to just belong to WIW.

Such a cute little winery! You can sip wine on the patio overlooking lush grassy fields, flowers of all colors, and a lovely vineyard. We tasted 6 wines here and enjoyed every one of them, whether it be the light and refreshing whites or the poignant, well rounded reds. My favorite was the port! Earthy and complex, it's perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth, but not at all cloying. Another interesting one was the Siegerrebe. It was subtle yet flavorful, and had a fantastic finish. They are the only vineyard in North America that grows this varietal imported from Germany. All this is conveniently located on your way between the Clinton ferry and Langley town, be sure to stop by for a glass or two!
