Today is my birthday, all I wanted was good food!!! I have celiac disease and can not eat gluten, which makes it extremely hard to find comfort food. I drove to Minneapolis, uptown and lake street looking for something to eat. Then finally found "where's the flour" in north town mall!!! It was worth the day of driving, my heart cried with joy when I knew I could eat all my favorites without the pain and brain fog gluten brings. I am so thank for this place and highly recommend them, as well as all the other restaurants at North town mall. If you haven't been to the food court in a while, do yourself a huge favor and go. They redid the food court and it's full independent owned restaurants, even though I can't eat everything looks amazing. Thank you to the owner, he came out and told me he does what he does so people like me can still enjoy good food. I'm so thankful for him!
I was really looking forward to trying this! I love that all items are gluten-free and items are also labeled dairy-free when applicable. The order was fulfilled promptly, sealed in a bag, and still warm when I got home. At first glance, the chicken tenders looked much larger in the photo online when ordering. This is a photo of my order before eating. The chicken strips were crispy and the fries were seasoned well. However, the spices were so overpowering on the chicken strips and made them orange in color. I always cook with a large amount of seasonings and something in the chicken strips was so spicy that my nose was running and tears were streaming down my face. I have never had tears happen with spicy foods. It was not what I expected when ordering chicken strips. I wish the spiciness had been disclosed.
Wow! Kudos to Northtown for bringing in this delicious, inclusive vendor! My best friend and I visited from out of town and weren’t disappointed! We both have gluten allergies. I got a chicken sandwich with cheese curds -omgggg the curds were amazing! She had poutine. She loved it! Our favorite was the house sauce, the “WTF sauce.” Eating in this “ghost kitchen” food court was a new experience for us. There’s no staff behind the counters, they’re all located in the kitchens. You order your food on a computer screen and you enter your phone number. You’ll get a text when your food is ready and it’s waiting for you at the counter. It only took about 5 minutes, but my friend and I explored the mall for a few minutes while we waited for our food. Overall, delicious, positive experience. Will definitely tell others about this place and come back to try it again!
I was so excited to find GF breaded mushrooms. They tasted better than they looked. Highly recommended. I also had chicken tenders and fries. This is located in the food court of Northtown Mall. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free restaurant GF
It appears this address is the location of the ghost kitchen "Juicy's Cheesesteaks." Just thought I'd share how I received my order. Yall should be ashamed to be hosting this garbage restaraunt. Ghost kitchens gotta stop. There's no accountability for poor service! My appetite is gone. I'm not mad... just disappointed, buddy. Do not recommend.
I went here with my celiac husband on a whim. We were in the area and looking for a safe place for him to eat. The overall look of the place is fresh, updated and appealing. I ordered the chicken tender sandwich, my husband got the 6 piece tender basket, and we shared fried pickles. We got a huge amount of food for the amount we paid and brought leftovers home. The owner, Jason, came out to greet us and talked about his restaurant background. He is a class act and we will definitely be back to enjoy his food again!
I didn't realize Where's The Flour was gluten-free! Ordered the poutine and was not only impressed by the taste but then to be told it's gluten free was so surprising. I overheard other people in the mall commenting on how Where's The Flour has given so many people the opportunity to eat delicious food that they felt safe eating. Top restaurant in the community!! : Kid-friendliness: Located in the Northtown mall so seating is available for families. Parking: Numerous spots to park no matter what door you come in! Wheelchair accessibility: Scooters & wheelchairs easily used in the mall & foodcourt.
I LOVE this place! If you have celiac disease, this place is absolutely what you've been waiting for. They have all of the food that you can't get anywhere else. I brought by dad, who also has celiac disease, and he kept commenting about how fun it was to eat the food and how great it was. The owner is also a really nice guy who is open to hearing about what you'd like to see on the menu. I would recommend this place to ANYONE, but especially those who can't have gluten. 10/10
My husband was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. One of the hardest things to do is go out to eat because you have to worry about cross contamination and ingredients. When we found Where's the Flour we figured that we had to give it a try! We found that the food was really good! You could tell that the buns on the burgers weren't "normal" however they weren't thick like the ones that you buy in the stores. Everything was delicious and we will definitely eat here again. It is nice to not have to worry about the foods we are selecting as everything on the menu is GF!
I am so beyond happy we found "Where's the Flour." My young daughter who has celiac disease was finally able to eat out, and have the options of her favorite foods like cheese curd, burgers and fries! The staff was very nice too! I'm so grateful they run a celiac safe kitchen!! Please don't ever close!! I hope you only expand in the future! Thank you for what you do! It means a lot!!
