We have been trying to come to this place since like forever and every time we went the wait was just too much. So I had big hopes for this place. We got to this dinner on a Saturday at about 7:30 am. We sat on the bar since all the tables were occupied. We were attended right away. The server was attentive, always checking on us, but not friendly. They seemed the type of servers that just do their jobs but there’s no like friendliness. The food came and it had good presentation. It was a little of a wait to get our food, which I definitely like it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t crazy about the food. We had avocado toast and the eggs, corned beef hash, toast and roasted potatoes. We had also coffee, orange and cranberry juice. I understand the food is what you get at any dinner, it wasn’t that tasty to me. I will want to try more from their menu though. I will go back there again to try more of their menu since their menu is very extensive. Glad we tried it!
Took forever for the food to come. And then it came in pieces. 5 minutes French toast and French toast came. 5 minutes after that the sausage came. 10 minutes after that the cheese eggs came. The pancakes was falling apart dry. The chicken omelet the chicken was very dry horrible Parking: Tough parking dangerous be careful.
Home fries is great - it’s the best I can find in Quincy! Omelette is awesome too! Good morning with great breakfast
Great food and service with affordable price! We got Irish Breakfast Platter and Strawberry cheesecake pancake. Absolutely love it! We definitely go back!
I took my nephew for a Birthday breakfast at Wheelhouse Diner, and he wasn't that impressed. The pancakes are huge, but not that tasty. I ordered the crunchy french toast & it was yummy. The cleanliness is meh, they could & should do better. Not worth a 2nd visit IMO.
I wish I could do this review in a Guy Fieri voice because this is essential Triple D. Very old school diner with a few modern amenities. Not a huge place. Classic diner menu. I sat at the counter and noticed small sugar spots on the counter. They have AC, but I might recommend a bigger unit because it was hot. They do have WIFI. Good coffee, really good bacon. Perfect pancakes. BIG PORTIONS. I could have shared mine easily. Nice and fluffy. Mine were strawberry cheesecake pancakes, and the flavor was excellent. It's definitely worth a visit and bring your appetite. Someday, I will return for lunch.
My wife and I were on our honeymoon from Minnesota. Going to this diner was the best way to start our first day while heading to Boston. It was an extremely nice and quaint diner with food that was out of this world. I got an entire breakfeast eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes for only $7 and it was so good and fresh! Service was very good as well. Altogether, a great experience.
Ordered about $50 worth of food, they forgot $20 worth. I ordered the Lumberjack and they forgot the pancakes which is basically the whole meal. I called and the lady said she will issue a credit and before I could even tell all the things I missed, She literally hung up on me mid sentence and when I called back, she laughed and said “I thought you were done talking”. I’ve never left a bad review anywhere but I feel like the owners have no idea the kind of service they’re providing. I was too annoyed to even call back and instead I just won’t even consider it again.
Maybe they were having a bad day... I wanted to like this place a lot- cute little old style roadside diner that serves my fav, the Irish breakfast. I would think with all the Irish in Boston area this would be a no brainer- nope. Black pudding was overdone, no white pudding on a Saturday around noon- brunch prime time so they gave me an "ok" breakfast sausage. No beans. But, my server was very nice and attentive, and it's so cute inside it's hard to give it a bad score. When I return to Quincy later this year I'll give them another chance, and adjust the score accordingly.
Definitely a diner! Came here because of Nift. Found parking right outside, restaurant has a cool diner exterior. Cool vibe and fun music, great for a casual breakfast with a friend. Our waitress was super friendly and although the scene was pretty busy our food tasty, timely and we weren’t rushed. Enjoyed my breakfast and my friends fruit plate was freshly made. Will be returning for sure.
