They make hundreds of bagels daily so they are extremely fresh, and of many sizes. They also make a good pretzel. Good family run business in Sauga. It’s approximately .75cents per bagel.
There's a large variety of bagels and other baked goods which are made fresh on-site. I'm no bagel expert but I thought they tasted great and you can buy a dozen for $6.
This place is like a slice of home. Seeing how hard the person at the back to make these fresh homemade bagels makes me appreciate the love and dedication they put. The person serving at the cashier is sweet, patient, kind, and informative. I love that she assisted me during my first visit. She told me to choose any bagel for the salmon and kindly went through the process with me. I was able to choose any number of toppings to accompany my salmon and bagel and she recommended what will go best. I also grabbed a spinach and feta croissant and let me tell you, it was incredibly delicious. If you ever drive along Dundas, and would love a wholesome homemade meal, then you're in for a treat. Thank you What A Great Bagel for your great customer service experience.
I have been going to this place for years. This place used to be amazing until ownership changed. Can't imagine a bakery will only bake one carrot cake a day. Always want to sell you the one from yesterday. The bagel are still good. Miss the polish family who greeted you with a smile. Go now and the lady just want to fight you, No smile, no good morning and thank you. OMG.
It use to be my favorite place but as others have said since management changed they have gotten pretty cheap when it comes to the amount of meat and toppings and even they very often do not have whole wheat bagels .This is my advice to the new owners - keep the old owners formula or else you are gonna lose a lot of customers and business. What happened to frequent buyer card that you could buy 10 dozens of bagels and get one dozen free?
Great tasting bagels, made fresh on the spot! Normally, I'm not a fan of egg salads, but this one was delicious. You get to choose your toppings individually. Prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch! :
Great customer service, fresh food all the time, throughout the day! I ordered the cheddar cheese bagel with cream cheese & chives, egg salad, tomatoes, and onion, it was absolutely delicious. The prices were great too for 2 similar bagels, 2 drinks and a coffee I paid around $11. You can expect service in Polish, Ukrainian, or English.
Came in here today to get my usual buns and bread, and was absolutely horrified to see there was barely anything on the shelves, and the only things that were available were stale! Went to the counter to find out what is going on, only to see the business has been taken over by some Oriental/Asian people. I miss the Polish folks who used to own this shop and were always loaded with fresh goods and the smell of freshly baked items. Will no longer shop here again. I am so upset.
Great Bagels produced fresh in the store. A basic store with nothing fancy but the Bagels are really good and make it worth a visit. Skip the coffee as it's very average. Warm hospitality and cheerful staff. Free parking at the store front.
The name really reflect the quality of this bagel place. We usually buy bagel with cream cheese or egg and cream cheese. Absolutely delicious breakfast every time. The owners are very friendly.
