Portions are small and a little pricey for small portions but fish is good had fish sandwich my sister had scallops again small portion but very good fries good also very small location but you can eat outside also love the hush puppies too.great location and food always friendly been there three times.I like it clean I definitely would go there again and they wear gloves.....Loving that...five stars for gloves
Good food, nice service, but they prepare & cook the fish in the same area, or batter, oil as the shrimp. I know because I am allergic to shrimp. I had a reaction. It was not as bad as it could have been if I ate shrimp directly, but i still had a reaction until the next day. Too bad because I like the place. I just can't eat there unless they change the routine. I may call to ask, but for now I just wont risk eating there. They have nice tables with umbrellas in front. Wonderful for anyone who is not allergic to any type of seafood.
Delicious, well seasoned food, prepared quickly, with great customer service. Plus it's Black owned!
This honey glazed salmon is to die for. My son will cut you for the curry shrimp. So good!
Let me just say "Amazing Food" When I tell you I have not had a Great Fish Sandwich in quite awhile! I couldn't wait to eat it so I ate it in my car. Whalley Seafood never disappoints. Their prices are reasonable and the quality can't be compared. Can't wait to go back next week!
The food good. They are a very place so its take out only.We didn't know that before going Had the Whiting sandwich very good. They need to decide which menu they should use. They had three menus with assorted different items on each one. They would be better off having one menu, if they had one menu they would get 4 stars! Other wise it would be a place I would go back to next time in New Haven.
Beast seafood I've had in years, highly recommended!
The seafood was fresh and tasted fantastic. We got the Whalley Combo platter and it had scallops, shrimp, fish, clam strips, and 1/2 fries 1/2 onion rings. It was all cooked to perfection!
The worst lobster rolls I ever had. The sign in restaurant states 4 hush puppies for 1.00, I get home and there's only 3. They should sale there lobster rolls for 2.99 then it might be worth it. I would never eat from there again. Next time I will go to Kevin's. I will give the restaurant a -0.. Don't waste your time unless you want trash food.
Soggy fries that taste like frozen oven fries with no taste. Breading was ok on scallops but lots of rocks in them, shrimp tasted like it was sitting around for a long time. Two star because it was less greasy this time, but indoors floor was really sticky. This place looks like it is perpetually a work in progress.
