The WCCOA works to enhance the wellness and empowers our seniors to be a vital part of the community.
Wexford County Council on Aging (COA) is a local nonprofit 501©3 agency, serving seniors age 60 and older and disabled adults throughout Wexford County, Michigan. The agency is governed by a 15 member Board.
Many of our services are subsidized (cost share) through the Wexford County Senior Millage to help lower the actual cost of our homemaking, personal care, in-home respite, DayBreak Adult Day Services and snow removal (pre-paid vouchers for snow removal) for those that are 60 years old and older.
Other sources of funding come from Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan, Northern Health Care Management, United Way of Wexford County, Office of Services to the Aging (OSA), Department of Human Services, donations and private contributions.
"Our mission is to collaboratively provide, manage, and source an integrated system of health and human services for Wexford County seniors and disabled adults with chronic illness or disability."
